Nyanza Province was one of Kenya's eight administrative provinces before the formation of the 47 counties under the 2010 constitution. Six counties were organised in the area of the former province. The region is located in the southwest part of Kenya around Lake Victoria, includes part of the eastern edge of Lake Victoria, and is inhabited predominantly by the Luo people. There are also Bantu-speaking tribes, such as the Gusii, the Kuria, and some Luhya, living in the province. The province derives its name from Nyanza, a Bantu word which means a large mass of water. Ruma National Park is the only terrestrial park in Kenya's Nyanza Province. Dubbed the Last Retreat of the Roan Antelope, the park protects the only indigenous population of rare roan antelopes within Kenya. At present, the population is on the verge of extinction with individual populations numbering approximately 40. The park was established in 1966 as Lambwe Valley Game Reserve. It was later renamed “Ruma” after one of Kenya’s most powerful wizard, the much feared Gor Mahia who lived around the park . The park is located in the vast Lambwe Valley.

Kit-Mikayi — also spelled Kit Mikayi, Kitmikayi, and Kitmikaye — is a rock formation, a tor, around 120 m high situated about 29 km west of the town of Kisumu in western Kenya. It is about 1 km from the Kisumu-Bondo road. The sign board is on the gate of Kit Mikayi primary school and entrance is via N’gop-Ngeso primary school. Kit-mikayi means the stone of the first woman, or stone of the first wife, in Dholuo, the Luo language.

That leads to tension,, Odinga came up with a sensational claim, alleging that he had broken into the voting system's computer system, and there has been a large amount of fraud hereafter.

This is a video of the famous great rift valley escarpment road between Nairobi and Narok counties in Kenya. The road offers an amazing view of Kenya's great rift valley masai mara grassland plains. It also has no barriers, several blindspots, queues of long vehicle trucks and passenger buses/coaches racing to get to their destinations. You're also likely to see baboons along the road.
