Olumirin Water Falls, Erin-Ijesha, Osun State

Climbing the 7 layers of Olumirin Water Falls, Erin-Ijesha, Osun State.

Olumirin water falls is located approximately 70 minutes outside the Osun State capital - Osogbo.

This was fun climb. A friend of mine had recently moved to Osogbo and invited me to visit. While there, he mentioned Olumirin and I said I'd like to climb to the top. My friend felt it was not a good idea as it would take all day and is strenuous and he for sure wasn't going to be climbing. After reminding him that I had recently climbed to the top of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, this surely couldn't be harder, he made the necessary arrangements to get me to the mouth of the water fall. It took 2.5 hours to climb to the top.....including video time.

I would rate this as a moderate climb because the elevation gain can be quite steep for stretches. Nevertheless, I encourage everyone to try this climb......it's a rewarding experience.
