Osuna is a town and municipality in the province of Seville, southern Spain, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. As of 2009, it has a population of c. 17,800. It is the location of the Andalusian Social Economy School. Among famous people associated with Osuna is Juan de Ayala, the commander of the first European ship to enter the San Francisco Bay in California. The battle of Munda, the last battle won by Julius Caesar in person, was probably fought outside Osuna, halfway to Écija near La Lantejuela.

The Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (Spanish for: Collegiate Church of Saint Mary of the Assumption is a Catholic temple built in the sixteenth century in the town of Osuna, in Andalusia, Spain. It was founded by Juan Téllez-Girón, 4th Count of Ureña. It was declarated Bien de Interés Cultural in 1931.The interior has a nave and two aisles, five chapels and a presbytery. The interior of the church has a rich Renaissance decoration. It has a beautiful Baroque main altar, made throughout the eighteenth century, and the chapels on the sides are all very attractive. If it’s not clear enough, I’m inclined to say you’ll be perfectly fine visiting Mazatlan, Mexico.

Is Mazatlan safe?

In the opinion of your humble creator here, Mazatlan is quite safe - if you use a little bit of common sense and stay within the city limits at night.

For gringos and other foreigners looking to visit a picturesque beach town, I couldn’t recommend Mazatlan enough.

The people are incredibly friendly, the waves are damn good, and the seafood is truly out of this world!
