One of the best things you can do only winter is “Road trip in snowy region”.
We chose Aomori where is the northern part of Japan.
Aomori has tons of attractive points like beautiful snowscape and natural abundance.
I’m gonna share the beautiful four days that we spent.
海辺や生い茂った木々のシーンが恋しくなる季節ですが、「冬にしかできないこと」を模索した結果、「冬の十和田湖と八甲田山の絶景を見よう」ということで、この真冬のロードトリップを決行しました。
初日はほぼ移動で、見どころの少ない動画ですが、それでもやはり雪道でのドライブシーンはかなりお気に入り。

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k | Cherry Blossoms(Tokyo)
Hanami is a beautiful Japanese Cherry Blossom event that should be on your travel bucket list. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k along with DJI ronin-s was used to craft this cinematic travel video in Tokyo. The BMPCC 4k was used to film at Sensoji Temple, Ueno Park, Shinjuku Gyoen, Asakusa and Naka-Meguro on this picturesque and colorful journey thru the world of Hanami. This cinematic travel film will immerse you into the Tokyo Sakura world.
I shot this video over two days in Tokyo on my way to Thailand. I have visited Japan on numerous occasions and its' at the top of the list of places to visit. I was in quite a rush trying to capture the Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo as you can imagine, but it was a great trip overall and a wonderful Hanami experience.
I edited and color graded this travel video in Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 beta software. Overall, loved working with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k even with the shortcomings that it has. Paired with the DJI Ronin-S, the Smallrig cage, and the DJI focus motor, I was pleasantly surprise I was able to move quickly and get the shots that I needed. Also easy to transport on the Tokyo Subways and Trains with this small footprint. As you know, the Tokyo subways and JR Trains can get quite congested most of the days. More so, during the Hanami season in Tokyo, Japan.
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k is a great travel camera that gives you the best bang for your buck for cinematic travel videos. The BMPCC 4k is a great addition to have in my kit and the mft lenses from Olympus 12mm, 17mm, 25mm, 45mmm and Panasonic 15mm are light and helped keep the weight down on the rig. I feel like the images captured from the BMPCC4k are worth the short battery life and a few other minor quirks. This camera isn't for everyone. But, honestly, if image quality along with an affordable price is paramount, then you should test this camera out to see if it fits your needs. I can't think of another camera in this category that can match the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K for Price, features and image quality.
The DJI Ronin-s is also a wonderful piece of gear to pair with small mirrorless cameras. As a owner of the original Ronin and several other gimbals, I have enjoyed traveling and using this gimbal with the BMPCC 4k. I haven't used the Zhiyun Crane 3 lab or Moza Air gimbals with the BMPCC 4k, so I can't really compare them to those single handle gimbals. The DJI Ronin s, at the time of this writing is the best gimbal that I've used with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.
I do plan on another Hanami film next spring. I hope to go to explore Osaka, Kyoto and the Kansai region next time. Obviously, would like to have more time to get better shots, and enjoy this Hanami | Tokyo Cherry Blossom experience in a more relaxed atmosphere without the need to rush. So glad that the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k is compact enough for me to move quickly and get the shots I needed for this Travel Vlog Film.

Japan Trip: Lovely public bath “I Love Yu” Naoshima, Kagawa, Japan 14
I Love Yu is a combination of public bath and art installation house (sento), where visitors can experience bathing in the artwork. The facility was built to give communication place for islander and visitors. The facility was designed by Japanese artist Otake Shinro whose scrapbook like style incorporates recycled objects from all over Japan. Otake also created the Haisha art house, which is part of the Art House Project on Naoshima.
Bathing at the I Love Yu bath house is a intersting experience. The baths are designed and finished mostly in plain white tiles surrounding a collage of erotica on the floor of the bath. While soaking in the hot waters, visitors can view the brightly painted glass ceiling, large tile murals depicting ama (female abalone divers) on the walls and an elephant statue at the center of the room.
The art is ever present throughout the rest of the bath house as well with video displays, painted ceramic paintings, posters, and collages decorating the changing rooms, toilets, entranceway and the entire exterior of the building. The bath sells lovely I Love Yu goods and toiletries such as towels, shampoo and body soap. Like the admission tickets, they are purchased through a ticket machine next to the entrance.

Closed: Mondays (or following Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday)

[TRIPofJHL] Trip to Ondal Cave in Danyang
Ondal Cave is one of wonderful caves in Danyang-gun.
- The total length is around 760m.
- With an imagination, they gave names on rocks, stalagmites, stalactites, etc. There are shapes of a dragon, an elephant, peaks, a turtle and so on.
- This cave has both of spacious areas and narrow areas.
- For a visitor's safety, a helmet is essential during the tour.
- Plenty of water flows next to visitors' trail. That differentiates this cave from others in Danyang.
Any living creature can be hardly seen in the water. Almost impossible for tourists.
- They estimate this cave has been formed since about 450 million years ago.
- The name 'Ondal' came from the general of the Kingdom of Goguryeo in 6th century. Because there's Ondal Fortress nearby built upon his order.
- This cave formerly called as Namgul(南窟) or Seongsangul(城山窟) in the history.
- Stalactites on ceiling and stalagmites on ground slowly grow and become stone pillars after a long period of time.

[TRIPofJHL] 단양 온달동굴 여행…
단양군의 흥미로운 동굴 중의 하나인 온달동굴(溫達洞窟).
- 총길이는 약 760m에 달한다.
- 관리공단에서 상상력을 발휘하여 바위, 종유석, 석순 등에 재미있는 이름을 붙였는데, 용, 코끼리, 도담삼봉, 거북이 등이 적혀있는 것을 볼 수 있다.
- 높다랗게 펼쳐진 넓은 구간도 있고 허리를 웅크려야 지나갈만큼 좁은 구간도 있어서 방문객은 안전모 착용이 필수.
- 탐방로 양옆으로 많은 양의 물이 흐르는게 단양의 다른 동굴과 구분되는 특징이다. 하지만, 관광객이 수서생물을 찾기란 거의 불가하다.
- 학자들은 이 동굴이 약 4억5천만년 전부터 형성되었을 것으로 추정하고 있다.
- '온달'이라는 명칭은 6세기 고구려의 장수 온달에서 온 것. 익히 들어온 '온달과 평강공주'의 그 온달 맞다. 근처에 온달의 지시로 축조된 온달산성이 있어서 온달동굴이라고 지어졌다. 과거 기록에서 사용된 명칭은 남굴(南窟) 또는 성산굴(城山窟)이었다고 한다.
- 천정의 종유석과 땅위의 석순은 천천히 자연적으로 자라며 오랜 세월후에 만나 석주를 이루게 된다.
