The total area is 32.96 km² which gives a population density of 896 inhabitants per km². Pairi Daiza is a privately owned zoo and botanical garden located in Brugelette in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. The 65-hectare large animal theme park is located on the site of the former Cistercian Cambron Abbey, and is home to over 4,000 animals. The name is taken from the Avestan word pairi daēza, which is the source of the [Persian language] word paradise. Pairi Daiza is owned and operated by Pairi Daiza Belgium SA, a limited company previously listed on NYSE Alternext Brussels . It is a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria , and participates in the European Endangered Species Programme .

Walibi Belgium, formerly Walibi Wavre and then Six Flags Belgium, is a Belgian theme park located in Wavre, close to Brussels. During the 1998 to 2004 period, it was owned by Six Flags, Inc, an American theme park operator. It was later sold to Palamon Capital Partners. As of 2006, the park is owned and operated, along with Paris' Parc Astérix, by CDA Parks . The Walibi name comes from the mix of Wavre, Limal and Bièrges, three towns in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant, where the park is situated.

Louvain la Neuve, Belgium

Louvain-la-Neuve (pop. 30,000), 30km south of Brussels, is an almost exclusively student town. The town was only founded in 1972, after the split of the University of Leuven (Louvain in French) between the Dutch and French speakers in 1968, thus creating the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL).

Louvain-la-Neuve is not only th newest town in Belgium, but also a quite particular one, as half of its population are currently attending its university, while the other half is made mostly of former students, making it also the youngest town in the country.

The novelty of the town means that there is of course no historical buildings, but Louvain-la-Neuve make it up by its architectural harmony, pure air (the town is mostly pedestrian) and its spaciousness. It was designed around a lake and the modern layout of its streets certainly contrast with that of other Belgian cities.

In other words, Louvain-la-Neuve is more like a very big village where people greet each others at almost every corner, and parties presides over the life of its inhabitants.

The only touristic site is Museum of Louvain-la-Neuve, although the whole city is an attraction in itself.
