La plage Grape Bay n'est pas véritablement une plage publique. Cependant, comme elle fait partie du parc national de South Shore, son accès est permis aux visiteurs.
Pour nous y rendre, nous avons roulé jusqu'au bout de White Sands Road et nous avons stationné notre scooter près du sentier qui mène à la plage.
Comme il s'agit d'un secteur résidentiel, il est important de respecter la tranquillité de cet endroit.
En fait, c'était la seconde fois que nous nous rendions à cette plage puisque lors de notre premier essai, la marée était tellement haute que la plage n'était pas visible.
C'est une belle longue plage dont le sable a une teinte rosée. La mer est calme, peu profonde et propice à la baignade.
L'endroit est peu fréquenté. Lors de notre passage, les seules personnes que nous y avons rencontrées étaient deux hommes qui pêchaient au bord de l'océan. Et leur pêche était vraiment fructueuse.

This is a short color film of a 3 week round trip cruise between New York City and Bermuda aboard the Monarch of Bermuda in 1939. The ship arrived back at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal on the 9th of September. There are quick glimpses of the Royal Naval Dockyard, Hamilton, SS Queen of Bermuda, Paget Parish, the Bermuda Railway, Front Street, and Manhattan.
