I spent the last 5 years traveling the world and every time I'd meet people on the road, they'd ask: Where do you come from?. I'd always come back saying: Lithuania, just to hear them go: huh?
At some point it became a little annoying to have to explain the same thing over and over and over again, so I decided to create this video where you will learn everything you need to know about Lithuania.
Hope you enjoy it!

Aukstaitija national park, Lithuania
Aukstaitija National Park. Lithuania 2001
Aukštaitija National Park (Aukštaitijos nacionalinis parkas) is a national park in north-eastern Lithuania, about 100 km north of Vilnius. Established in 1974, it is the oldest of the five national parks in Lithuania. At first it was named Lithuanian SSR National Park to emphasize that it was the first such park in the republic. In 1991 four other parks were established and were named after ethnographic regions of Lithuania. The park was renamed after Aukštaitija.
The park covers 405.7 km². Ignalina district municipality controls about 50% of the area. Utena and Švenčionys district municipalities control 25%. Strictly protected areas occupy 2.1%. One can enter this territory only accompanied by a park employee. More than 70 percent of its area is covered by woods. 80 percent of woods are pine stands, some reaching 200 years old.

The best camping site in Lithuania - Camping Harmony
It was a complete coincidence that we found this camping site. We just followed the sign and turned off the main road. After a-couple-of-kilometers-ride on an unpaved road in the middle of a forrest we already reached that point where you do not believe anymore there can be anything ahaed. And right there was the camping site Harmony. The best one we found during our expedition To Gibraltar through Nordkapp.
Ginuciai Water Mill, Lithuania National Park
Ginuciai water mill was built in XIX century. Original mill machinery is preserved - water weel, millstone, sack uplift mechanism. This mill is technology monument and there is exposition inside where the path of grains from field to the table as bread is shown.
In XIX century the mill was built by Linkmenai manor owner Gimžauskas, who had to give half of mill to the villagers after the conflict, which arose because the mill caused grassland flood. After the death of Gimžauskas, village owned all mill and rented it. In year 1935 it was rented by Dagys, who changed the wooden wheel to metal turbine and installed second turbine, which produced electricity to the village. Mill operated till 1968.
Water mill was reconstructed in 1978, but all the original mechanisms remained.

Take one trendy chic hang-out from NYC, mix it up with a soulful speak-easy, add a pinch of gourmet dining, throw it all into a mid 19th century Victorian styled mansion, shake, serve.
What type of cool do you like? Smooth and easy, stay downstairs to vibe to the vocals of Di Anne Price but if you desire a more pumped up pulse, venture to the upstairs where Memphis Feel-Harmonic serves up fresh made electronic groove.
Open Wednesday through Saturday from 5pm 'til the spirits go to sleep, Mollie Fontaine Lounge is a shining example of in with the old, in with the new in Memphis.
