DESCUBRA LISBOA: AS 15 MELHORES EXPERIÊNCIAS PARA SE TER NA CIDADE
PROJETO DESCUBRA: #LISBOA

PROJETO DESCUBRA: #LISBOA
Lisbon is wonderful. It’s little streets and train internationally known, they are worthy of fame. But the portuguese capital is much more than this, come with us to discover this city full of history and beauty.
Put your headphones on for a more immersive experience -
Lisbon is one of the most beautiful european capitals, not just because it’s architecture but also because of the people who are part of it. The colorful walls, the little tiles, the clothes on the clothesline and the people standing at their balcony give to Lisbon life and movement.
During the Festa dos Santos Populares, we’ve met the strong portuguese culture. At Alfama, when we saw the decorated streets, people selling grilled sardines, “ginginha” (typical beverage made out of “ginja”) and typical parades, we were totally amazed by all that history passing through our eyes.
But Lisbon also can be modern, at the Tivoli, at Liberdade’s Avenue, we’ve had one of the best experiences of our lifes. In one of the better 5 stars hotels in the capital, their care with the little details is incredible.
As well as the view from the Parque das Nações’ eletric, the majesty of the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, the little otters at the Oceanario, the night at the Pink Street, to watch the city by the Arco’s Sightview and the unique experience of finding such a good artist playing the soundtrack of life in every block.
Do you want to feel how it is to be in Lisbon? Come to travel with us for 4 minutes, there’s no way you will regret this.

Brazil
Brazil, officially the Federative Republic of Brazil is the largest country in both South America and the Latin American region. It is the world's fifth largest country, both by geographical area and by population. It is the largest Portuguese-speaking country in the world, and the only one in the Americas.
Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the east, Brazil has a coastline of 7,491 km (4,655 mi). It borders all other South American countries except Ecuador and Chile and occupies 47.3 percent of the continent of South America. Its Amazon River basin includes a vast tropical forest, home to diverse wildlife, a variety of ecological systems, and extensive natural resources spanning numerous protected habitats. This unique environmental heritage makes Brazil one of 17 megadiverse countries, and is the subject of significant global interest and debate regarding deforestation and environmental protection.
Brazil was inhabited by numerous tribal nations prior to the landing of traveler Pedro Álvares Cabral in 1500, who claimed the area for Portugal. Brazil remained a Portuguese colony until 1808, when the capital of the empire was transferred from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro after French forces invaded Portugal. In 1815, it was elevated to the rank of kingdom upon the formation of the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves. Its independence was achieved in 1822 with the creation of the Empire of Brazil, a unitary state governed under a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary system. The country became a presidential republic in 1889, when a military coup d'état proclaimed the Republic, although the bicameral legislature, now called Congress, dates back to the ratification of the first constitution in 1824. An authoritarian military junta had led the nation from 1964 until 1985. Brazil's current Constitution, formulated in 1988, defines it as a federal republic. The Federation is composed of the union of the Federal District, the 26 states, and the 5,570 municipalities.
The country's economy is the world's seventh largest by both nominal GDP and purchasing power parity, as of 2012. A member of the BRIC group, Brazil until 2010 had one of the world's fastest growing major economies, with its economic reforms giving the country new international recognition and influence. Brazil's national development bank (BNDES) plays an important role for the country's economic growth.[18] Brazil is a founding member of the United Nations, the G20, CPLP, Latin Union, the Organization of Ibero-American States, the Organization of American States, Mercosul and the Union of South American Nations. Brazil is a regional power in Latin America and a middle power in international affairs, with some analysts identifying it as an emerging global power. Brazil has been the world's largest producer of coffee for the last 150 years.

City Description:
Petrópolis is a Brazilian city north of Rio de Janeiro. Bordering the Serra dos Órgãos National Park, with its forested peaks and waterfalls, it’s known as a mountain retreat for Rio residents. In the center, the Imperial Museum displays period furnishings in the former palace of 19th-century emperor Dom Pedro II. Nearby, the huge São Pedro de Alcântara Cathedral houses the mausoleum of the emperor and his wife.Other heritage buildings in the city center include the ornate Palácio Rio Negro. Built by a wealthy coffee producer in the late 19th century, it has served as the summer home of several Brazilian presidents. Nearby, the elegant, iron-framed glass Palácio de Cristal offers a program of cultural events. The Casa de Santos Dumont documents the history of aviation. To the northeast, the Casa da Ipiranga cultural center hosts concerts and exhibitions in a grand 19th-century mansion surrounded by landscaped gardens.
Weather and Events:
Petrópolis is a year-round destination with a warm, temperate climate. Rainfall can be heavy Nov–Mar. The city’s high altitude makes it cooler than nearby Rio de Janeiro, so it’s a popular retreat during the summer months of Dec–Jan. Every year, the long-running Bauernfest (Jun/Jul) celebrates German culture in Brazil with street theater, music and food stalls.
