I often get requests from viewers to show you our home and the area where we live in Krabi Thailand, so here it is. The cost of living for most things is quite cheap in Thailand. We pay 5,000 baht per month (around $142 US at the current exchange rate) for a 2 bedroom home and we live in a small town.

You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Krabi, Phuket, Bangkok or PattayaThai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you'll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily for nearly 5 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!
The markets in Thailand are a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at markets is a good way to budget on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

Visiting a Thai Village in Isaan - Sakhon Nakhon + Kham Chanot Temple, Thailand
We've made it to the furthest destination in our Isaan road trip, Sakhon Nakhon. We spend a few days in the family home occasionally venturing out to stock up on food and beer and a trip to the Naga Temple in Wat Kham Chanot to pay respects and gain luck.
I don't really agree with this buying luck thing the Thai's seem to believe in. It's obvious that these places have mutated into tourist attractions and are all about money. The spiritual side of it seems to have been lost. It was still an interesting experience though and it's good to be able to see it for what it is and also what it may once have been.
In this video we learn about the string ceremony Baci, how carpets are made and the art of chewing betel nut.
Life in Isaan is great for a few days but you soon start to miss what you know from a western lifestyle. It's a little too far in the basic direction for me. Although, no matter how basic it gets, the younger generation of Thai people always seem to have smartphones and WiFi so that was handy.
