ALBANIA - Tirana oggi (TIRANE) [HD]
© CLAUDIO MORTINI** Tirana con i suoi 825.000 abitanti, è la capitale dell'Albania, una città soggetta ad una fase di grande sviluppo, economico, sociale e culturale, nonostante la dilagante corruzione non osteggiata dal governo di Sali Berisha. Viali ombreggiati su cui affacciano eleganti palazzi italiani anni '30, monumenti d'epoca comunista, bar alla moda, mercatini rionali, parchi, maestose moschee, interminabili file di cambiavalute ed invitanti locali notturni. La città è sviluppata intorno alla sempre trafficata piazza centrale Sheshi Skenderbej (Piazza Skanderbeg), dalla quale partono le vie ed i vialoni come i raggi di una ruota. In direzione sud si allunga l'ombroso bulevardi Deshmoret e Kombit, perfetto per passeggiare osservando le vestigia dell'era comunista, accanto al moderno quartiere di Blloku.

SCILLA
Luogo di meta turistica assolutamente da non perdere, con una spiaggia cristallina da non aver nulla da invidiare a mete estive più gettonate.
Secondo la mitologia greca, Scilla era una ninfa marina che per gelosia fu trasformata da Circe in un mostro mentre faceva il bagno in una caletta presso Zancle (l'odierna Messina); al posto delle gambe ebbe sei teste di cane che latravano, e lunghe code di serpente. La storia è raccontata nell'Odissea e nelle Metamorfosi di Ovidio.
CHIANALEA
Chianalea ossia Piana delle Galee, nome di un'antica imbarcazione ovvero sinonimo arcaico di pescespada. Zona costiera situata sul versante settentrionale della scogliera che ospita il Castello che la divide da Marina Grande. Chianalea offre solo pochi metri di spiaggia essendo quasi tutta la sua costa costituita da scogli e rocce che rendono pericoloso e difficile entrare in acqua. Tutta Chianalea è percorsa da un'unica strada che la connette da un lato con il porto e dall'altro con la SS18. Elemento piacevole della zona è il grande numero di case costruite quasi tutte a ridosso del mare, che le hanno valso il soprannome di piccola Venezia del Sud. Si colloca infine a metà tra Marina Grande e Chianalea il già menzionato porto che ospita barche da pesca e, durante il periodo estivo, piccole e medie imbarcazioni da diporto. Chianalea è inserito nella lista de I borghi più belli d'Italia.
MARINA GRANDE
Si tratta della zona della spiaggia, delimitata, a sud e a nord, da due imponenti costoni di roccia. Un'altra attrattiva di Marina Grande è la chiesa cinquecentesca dello Spirito Santo, dove si trova il dipinto di Francesco Celebrano La discesa dello Spirito Santo (1799)
CASTELLO RUFFO di SCILLA
Il castello Ruffo di Scilla, talvolta noto anche come castello Ruffo di Calabria, è un'antica fortificazione situata sul promontorio scillèo, proteso sullo stretto di Messina. Il castello costituisce il genius loci della cittadina di Scilla, circa 20 km a nord di Reggio Calabria, e sicuramente uno degli elementi più caratteristici e tipici del paesaggio dello Stretto e del circondario reggino. Il castello ospita inoltre uno dei fari della Marina Militare, il faro di Scilla.

History of the healing holy waters (acqua solforosa) of Sclafani Bagni and use in Crenotherapy:
In all of Sicily's Parco Regionale delle Madonie the acqua solforosa thermal springs only exist in Sclafani (renamed Sclafani Bagni in 1953) which is located downstream of the mountain top village (402 meters above sea level). The baths of Sclafani Bagni were built circa 1847 by the Duke of Bivona of the Duke of Fernandina famiglia, albeit, these healing holly waters have flowed up from the center of the earth for a millennium, by the hand of God.
On 19 March 1851, a landslide severely damaged the sites buildings and baths structures, which were rebuilt and are what stands today. The documented, healing properties of the water date thirteenth century. The thermo-sulfo-bromo-iodine water's healing properties have been scientifically certified thru analysis by experts in the field of geological, hydro geological and pharmaceuticals. The water flows at 36 ° from the western slopes of Sclafani Bagni where under lies the main source. SEAS is conducting surveys to determine the amount of flow and total reserves. The water is excellent for Crenotherapy, as it contains no ammonia, nitrates and or phosphates.
The Dukedom of Fernandina (Ducado de Fernandina) is a hereditary ducal title in the Spanish nobility. It was granted by King Philip II to García Álvarez de Toledo y Osorio, Viceroy of Sicily and Catalonia, and later Marquis of Villafranca del Bierzo in inheritance from his elder brother. It was conferred on him the 24 December 1559, along with the Princedom of Montalbán.
The title was usually held by the heirs apparent of the Marquises of Villafranca, and merged into the House of Medina Sidonia in 1779 when José Álvarez de Toledo, 11th Marquis of Villafranca and 8th Duke of Fernandina inherited the Dukedom of Medina Sidonia from a distant cousin. After the death 12th Duke, José Joaquín Álvarez de Toledo, none of his sons claimed the title, so the Dukedom of Fernandina became dormant. 80 years later, the 21st Duchess of Medina Sidonia and her son the Count of Niebla ceded their rights to the title to their daughter and sister, Pilar González de Gregorio, who asked for the resumption of the dormant dukedom. On 1 February 1993, the title was restored with Grandeeship of Spain by King Juan Carlos I to Pilar, who became the 13th Duchess of Fernandina and is the current holder of the title.
