Hiking Plitvice Lakes National Park - Croatia - Route C
Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the most popular destinations in Croatia, and for good reason. I recommend visiting the park as early in the morning as possible. This was filmed on a rainy September day, and we were not able to start until almost 10:00 AM due to heavy rains. Once the rains stopped, however, the foggy, cloudy atmosphere made for a mystical experience.
In this video we start at Entrance 1 and follow Route C, which is estimated to take about 4-6 hours. With a total length of about 8 kilometers, Route C is a great route because you start by going down several switchbacks, and you can visit the largest waterfall in the park, Veliki Slap, early in the morning before the crowds arrive.

• You need to buy the Plitvice Map for 20 kuna at the Information Center
• As per the lady in the information center, the fastest way to get through the line is to be in a group of 30, book a tour guide for 900kuna, the tour guide will be the one buying the ticket directly from the ticket booth for 30people. However, you know the pros and cons in being in a group LOL
• Winter is also one of the best season to visit!
• The Park is also populated by variety of animals including bears, wolves, otters, wild boars, skunks, squirrels, rabbits, foxes and numerous bird species.

Plitvice Lakes National Park is amazing. It's famous for it's 16 lakes and countless cascades, waterfalls, small rivers and streams.
If you take the bus to the top and walk down it takes about 4-6 hours and you walk on these wooden bridges made out of rafters so be careful not to fall of when the surrounding nature is busy distracting you.
Plitvice Lakes is one os the most beautiful places I have ever been, the blur, green and turquoise lakes with all the misty green waterfalls everywhere is just breathtaking.
