Where the sun rises over the Indian Ocean, only 5 km from Kosi Bay on the Southern tip of Mozambique, you will find Ponta do Ouro, Point of Gold.

For the hungry and thirsty Club do Praia is right on the beach where you can enjoy a drink or a snack while overlooking the spectacular bay. Accommodation at the resort consists of equipped 2, 4 and 6 bedded basic self-catering chalets. The 2 bed chalets are not en-suite but the 4 and 6 bed chalets have showers and toilets. The resort has a large shady campsite with shared ablutions that have flush toilets and hot water showers. Plug points are provided for campers. Visit Kaya Kweru Forrest Lodge in Accommodation Ponto Do Oura, Mozambique. It is situated adjacent to Ponta do Ouro main beach. This tropical resort is set in an indigenous tropical coastal forest and consists of permanent tents. The tents are built on wooden decks and are set far apart to ensure privacy. All the tents are luxuriously appointed and consist of an open-plan living area, a separate bathroom and a patio. Every tent, be it a single, double or superior tent, has a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and a separate bathroom with a shower, a basin and a toilet. Bedding and towels are supplied. No swimming towels are supplied in the tents, guests would need to bring their own or hire swimming towels from reception. Please note that no braai’s are allowed at the tents. A boma with a thatched roof, electricity, equipped kitchen, tables, seating and a large braai area is available for braais and cooking. Tents are serviced daily. There is a restaurant and a bar area with a TV with DStv. The restaurant serves brunch and dinner daily, except for Tuesdays out of season, when the restaurant is closed. The resort has direct access to the beach.

Visit Nghunghwa Lodge Accommodation in Praia do Bilene on the magnificent coast of Mozambique, 180km north of Maputo. Nghunghwa Lodge offers various options of luxury accommodation. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are air-conditioned, and all houses have spacious patios overlooking the lagoon. Houses are serviced daily. Except for the Presidential Suite, all houses have fully equipped kitchens with full sized fridge & freezer, gas stove, microwave oven and kettle. For guests that wish to self-cater, there is a Saverite (Shoprite) in Macia en route to Bilene (about 32km from Bilene) and in Bilene itself there is a market where fresh veggies and bread can be purchased, as well as some liquor, although it is rather expensive. Fresh fish and prawns can be bought from local fishermen at the resort. We are in the process of building a shop at the resort where basic necessities can be bought.

I do have a little bit of a plan when I start off somewhere, but I do my best to move forward free of expectation. I make an educated guess, and visualize a desired future. Somehow, things seem to work out. So long as you accept what comes. Still, the beauty of this journey never ceases to maze me.
