The Secret of hippies in Goa A Doucmentry film Trailer
Goa did not become Goa just overnight and without any concrete reason. As much as the travel agents and the taxi drivers would like to tell you that the only reason Russians come to Goa is because it is a cheap retreat for them. No, that is just not true. There has to be a better understandable reason advocating why Russians only frequent Goa and not other, even cheaper, alternatives. And, after I delved further, I found out a far more credible and interesting story – The extremely liberal hippie culture of this place. Hence were born the Goa hippies.
1970s was the time when the hippies had taken fully-grown wings and started migrating to freer pastures in order to attain what they were eternally looking for – salvation. The nirvana of the spirit & the mind. And, Goa, which was the least Indian out of all Indian states proved to be a heaven to them. The Goans were open to all cultures and even the usually parochial Indian government conveniently decided to pay no heed to this organic influx of firangs because it only meant a self-sustaining Goa due to tourism amidst the country’s otherwise economic turmoil.
This was precisely the time which gave birth to a new subform of music called the ‘Goa Trance’ by the Goa hippies. The counter-culture flowed giving birth to non-conformism and freedom of expression. Arambol Beach was at the helm of it, and the now infamous rave parties exploded; and are yet to get curbed. Thankfully.

SURPRISE SIGHTSEEING IN SANTIAGO CHILE, CHILEAN CAPITAL

Today while standing on the balcony looking down over Plaza de Armas in Santiago de Chile city, I felt inspired to go see beautiful things. Had my sights set on the Pablo Neruda museum which turned out to be closed for the day. Wasn't an art museum anyway, just one of his former homes in the Chilean capital. Ended up doing some sightseeing in Santiago city centre which turned out to be beautiful in itself. Great day walking around Santiago Chile in the sun meeting all sorts of people finding more than a few interesting places. The small, intimate park Cerro Santa Lucia with the all round view of the city impressed me the most. Has the tomb of Benjamin Vicuna Mackena at the top. Something very South American about it which has a literary tradition in magical realism. Nice day spent sightseeing and walking around the capital of Chile. A Lot going on on the streets and there is always something to see when traveling in Santiago, go visit this Chilean city!

The Orient Express | Long Distance Luxury Passenger Train | Paris to Istanbul | HD
Orient Express was a long-distance passenger train service created in 1883 by Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL). On 14 December 2009, the Orient Express ceased to operate and the route disappeared from European railway timetables, reportedly a victim of high-speed trains and cut-rate airlines. The Venice-Simplon Orient Express train, a private venture by Belmond using original CIWL carriages from the 1920s and 1930s, continues to run from London to Venice and to other destinations in Europe, including the original route from Paris to Istanbul.

Car-aoke!
A musical journey northwards from Golub-Dobrzyn.
In answer to Ken, the roundabout can be seen on the google map right here:
In answer to Wojt, the song playing at the point we cross the River Drweca (which unfortunately I don't really point out on the video) which was part of the Russian/Prussian border at one point in European history when Poland was actually divided up between three powers, was Chicago's if you leave me now. If you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me, and if you leave me now, you'll take away the very heart of me - a fitting song for passing what is a natural monument to the carving up of Poland at that time, as those words could have been sung to Poland by Europe at that time to good effect.
Dobrzyn was on the Russian side and Golub, where the castle is, is on the Prussian side. I understand that there are reenactments of knights' tournaments in this town from time to time, which must be worth a look.

Places to see in ( South Shields - UK )
South Shields is a coastal town at the mouth of the River Tyne, England, about 4.84 miles downstream from Newcastle upon Tyne. South Shields is part of the metropolitan borough of South Tyneside which includes the towns of Jarrow and Hebburn. South Shields is represented in Parliament by Labour MP Emma Lewell-Buck.
South Shields is situated in a peninsula setting, where the River Tyne meets the North Sea. South Shields has six miles of coastline and three miles of river frontage, dominated by the massive North and South Piers at the mouth of the Tyne. These are best viewed from the Lawe Top, which also houses two replicas of cannon captured from the Russians during the Crimean War.
As well as being the oldest and largest town in South Tyneside, South Shields is also one of the region's most popular seaside resorts. The area markets itself as Catherine Cookson Country, which attracts many visitors. Further improvements and developments to the seafront are planned.
The town and region include:
the reconstructed Roman Fort and excavations at Arbeia, which form part of the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site
the town's museum & art gallery, including a permanent exhibition dedicated to the life and times of Catherine Cookson
the home to the Barbour headquarters, warehouse and factory
the Customs House theatre and arts venue and the historic Mill Dam riverside
traditional, continental and farmers' markets and high street shopping
seafront complete with promenade, parks, fairground and amusement arcades, crazy golf, skate complex, quasar laser, miniature steam railway and boating lake and live entertainment
coastal scenery, beaches and dunes at Littlehaven, Sandhaven and Marsden Bay
the National Trust-owned Souter Lighthouse and The Leas cliff tops
St Hilda's Church, reputedly built on the site of Hilda's own 7th-century chapel
Haven Point
The combined Jubilee Clocktower and Wouldhave Memorial, which stands on Pier Parade alongside Tyne, Britain's second-oldest preserved lifeboat.
an extensive network of cycle paths and trails, and
a newly refurbished multi-purpose family friendly complex at the seafront, including a bowling alley, a soft play area, a fully licensed bar, Italian restaurant, an arcade called Dunes Adventure Island and a renowned Amphitheatre that has been hailed by Jon Anderson as 'The birthplace of Prog Rock'.
South Shields is also home of the oldest provincial newspaper in the UK, the Shields Gazette.
