In an unusual start to the day, Geoff and Vicki visit the Irish Railway Record Society in the morning, before hopping on their first train in the afternoon. Then it's off up to Ballybrophy and on to Limerick, chatting with the people along the way.

DINGLE: OUR FAVOURITE TOWN SO FAR - IRELAND ROAD TRIP
Next on our Ireland road trip, we visit the Dingle Peninsula and take you with us on a drive along the beautiful Slea Head loop. The Wild Atlantic Way is one of the most stunning coasts we've ever seen during our travels! We had some great weather and were able to see as far as the Skellig and Blasket islands which we couldn't see on our first drive because of the fog. We didn't cover all of the Dingle Peninsula but the town is so cute and we enjoyed a beer at Dick Mack's pub before making our way to make new friends in Limerick.

Went for a daytrip up to Slieve Bloom Mountains between Counties Laois and Offaly. It was the hottest day of the year so far in Ireland and man I nearly melted up there.
The RPSI's West Awake Diesel Railtour (13-4-2019)
Lineside footage of the RPSI's West Awake diesel railtour which ran between Dublin's Connolly station to Ballina & Westport in Co. Mayo on Saturday 13th April 2019.
The tour featured, for only the 2nd time ever, 2 double headed GM 071 class locos (075 & 082) working in multiple. At Claremorris retro liveried 071 would take over for the Ballina & Westport runs before 075 & 082 retaking the reigns on the return leg from Claremorris to Dublin Connolly. Coaching stock was formed of the RPSI's 1960s era Cravens with Mk1 ex-BR generating van.

The RPSI's 131 Renaissance railtour across the Antrim Branch (15-5-2018)
Some footage of the RPSI's 131 Renaissance steam railtour which ran from Belfast Central to Antrim with an extended return journey to Whitehead via the closed 20 mile long Knockmore to Antrim branch on Tuesday 15th May 2018.
Motive power was in the form of recently restored ex-GNR Q class 4-4-0 loco no.131 which dates from 1901, built by Neilson Reid & Co. in Glasgow. Behind her was the RPSI's set of Mark 2 stock.
