Best Towns in Hawaii - Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu
If you plan to visit Oahu, then you must visit the town of Haleiwa on the North Shore. It's great little town away out in the country with restaurants, food trucks, clothing outlets and more. It really embodies the relaxed mellow vibe of the Oahu's North Shore. It's also close to some of the best beaches in the world - Waimea Bay, Pipeline, and Sunset Beach.
Many tourist will wait up to an hour for some of Matsumoto's Shave Ice. There are other shave ice options in Haleiwa, but Matsumoto has their own blend of syrups which makes them simply ono.
If you want to learn how to standup paddleboard, or take surfing lessons, there are several shops in town to get you on the water.
