Wild Frontiers Horse Riding Holidays
In this video Wild Frontiers founder, Jonny Bealby, talks about the worldwide horse riding holidays offered by the award winning travel company.
At Wild Frontiers horse riding is in our DNA. In 1999 I bought a horse in the Kashgar bazaar in Western China and rode 3,000ks, along the Silk Road, through 5 Stans, to the Caspian Sea. I later wrote a book and made a discovery channel film about the adventure.
As for our main horse riding guide Richard Dunwoody, well he hardly needs any introduction at all. Richard was quite simply the greatest jockey of a generation winning the Grand National, the Gold Cup and most famous of all the King George on the nations favourite horse Desert Orchid.
And with equine trekkers Lulu Perry, Domenico Mocchi and Michael Dyer and a host of others associated with the company, it's fair to say Wild Frontiers knows a thing or two about riding in some of the world's more remote locations.
So what is it we love so much about horse riding holidays? It's the freedom you have of riding around the wild landscapes, being able to look around and enjoy the view, rather than looking at your feet or front wheel. Its accessing places other travellers simply can't and being at one with your animal, just as though you'd stepped back in time. All of these things conspire to make it one of the greatest pleasures I know.
At Wild Frontiers we always try to do things differently. We don't simply agent horse riding holidays for everyone all over the world. We pick what we think are the best horse riding experiences and then make the a little different. Added to this we've pioneered our own unique equine adventures, in places like Albania, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Argentina, Georgia and here in India.
So whether riding through the magnificent mountains of Kyrgyzstan, or across the epic steppes of Mongolia, you 'll be carried back to a time of Genghis Khan and 1000 silk road traders. To ride through the Georgian Caucasus, across the deserts of Jordan, around the painted monasteries of Romania, across the Andes or playing a being a gaucho in Argentina, all these things will carry you away to another world.
Africa probably holds the most extraordinary horse riding experiences. To ride across the giant savannah with elephants, giraffe and zebra by your side, all the while camping in extraordinary style, really takes this kind of holiday to a very different level.
And then of course there's India, where to ride the famous Marwari horses through picturesque countryside, stopping off at temples, forts and palaces, camping in old style safari tents, swimming in local rivers and dams, offers, in my opinion, the very best way to see this magnificent country.
So if you can ride and like your holidays to be both active and off the beaten track, then get in touch and try one of these extraordinary horse riding adventures. They really do offer one of the greatest travel experiences on the planet.
Cycling Bolivia - The best places and amazing landscapes.
It was the best cycling route in my whole trip till this time. I cycled from La Paz to Sajama going mostly on unpaved roads. It took me 3 weeks. I visited Viloco, Euakliptus, Cairoma, Rodeo and other little places.
MEXICO - MEXICO CITY (PART 1) - PLAZA DE TOROS - CORRIDA - BULLFIGHT (Full HD)
The Plaza de Toros México, situated in Mexico City, is the world's largest bullring. This 41,262-seat, facility is usually dedicated to bullfighting.
The Plaza México replaced the ancient bullring Toreo de la Condesa in the Condesa neighborhood that was overwhelmed by the rapid development of the Mexican population. It opened on 5 February 1946 and annually since then, that date marks the date of the Corrida de Aniversario.
There are many historic fighting venues in the Iberian Peninsula, France and Latin America. The largest venue of its kind is the Plaza México in central Mexico City, which seats 48,000 people.
Bullfighting (Spanish: corrida de toros) is a traditional spectacle of Spain, Portugal, parts of southern France and some Latin American countries (Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Peru), in which one or more bulls are fought by humans in a bullring. Although it can be defined as a blood sport, within the areas where it is practiced it is not considered a sport, since there are no elements of competition. Instead, it is considered a highly ritualized cultural event and art form which some see as deeply tied to Spanish culture and identity.
The bullfight, as it is practiced today, involves professional toreros (of whom the most senior, who actually kills the bull, is called a matador) who execute various formal moves which have a meaning, or at least a name, according to the bullfighter's style or school. It has been alleged that toreros seek to elicit inspiration and art from their work and an emotional connection with the crowd transmitted through the bull. The close proximity places the bullfighter at risk of being gored or trampled by the bull. After the bull has been hooked multiple times behind the shoulder by other toreros in the arena, the bullfight usually concludes with the killing of the bull, ideally by a single sword thrust, which is called the estocada. Sometimes, the life of the bull is spared due to his braveness (indulto); once the animal has been treated, it is returned to live in the dehesa. (Wikipedia)
Mexico was the country I have visited more then 6 weeks. It is big country therefore this time was not enough to see everything. I was traveling very quick to see as much as possible but in Mexico City I have been 5 days. One of them I spent to see the show - CORRIDA. Now you have opportunity to see it.

Argentina travel trip: Purmamarca area (Jujuy Province) November 2011
Purmamarca: Hosteria de Amauta in Purmamarca, Jujuy Province was our home for 4 nights. The adobe village sits at the base of the Seven Color Mountain within a stunning canyon or quebrada created by the Rio Grande. We had daily meetings wtih Marta Valdiviezo, a local weaver, learning about her art and sharing felting techniques taught by Deb and Fran. In addition, we hiked Los Colorados Trail and spent time in the village market. Segment II of Weaving Andean Stories: Tracing Argentina's Cultural Heritage and Traditions.
