Hotel Review: Rendezvous Sydney Central, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia - August 2015
I stopped in the Rendezvous Sydney Central Hotel in August 2015, two of us stayed there for seven nights in an executive room with bed and breakfast for £616 (AU$ 1,316), this was booked via Booking.com. Sydney is not a cheap city to stay in at any time of year, and this was one of the better deals that I could find in a good quality hotel.
The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from Sydney Central Railway Station, a 10 minute walk from Darling Harbour, and a 30 minute walk from Circular Quay. We used public transport to explore the city and bought 'Opal' pre-pay travel cards.
Our room was large and comfortable with a good view. The hotel had given us a complimentary bottle of bubbly, which was a lovely touch. We had a good view of Railway Square and all of its goings on (I had requested a room on a high floor with a good view, and I got it).
With the executive room, you get one free drink per person per night from the bar, and a free breakfast each morning. The breakfast buffet was truly international, and included a range of options, I was enjoying curry for breakfast on some mornings!
The staff were all helpful and polite, and I have no complaints whatsoever about them.
The rooftop pool was too cold to use (apart from my one and only attempt at a swim), but the rooftop did offer superb views of the city skyline.
This film features all public areas of the hotel that we explored as well as a room inspection, and sample breakfast buffet - enjoy!
