Narbonne is a town in southern France on the Canal de la Robine. The Gothic Cathédrale Saint-Just et Saint-Pasteur was begun in the 13th century but never completed. The grand Palais des Archevêques (Archbishop's Palace) houses archaeology and art museums. The Horreum is an underground labyrinth of ancient warehouses left over from the town’s days as a Roman port. The nearby beach and harbor is at Narbonne Plage.
Narbonne as founded as “Narbo”, a Roman settlement on the Via Domitia that grew rich from sea trade via its natural harbour. You can get a feel for the splendour of Norbo’s Roman homes at the Archbishop’s Palace, where wall-paintings retrieved from ancient villas form the largest collection of Roman painting in France.
The medieval palace that contains them is Narbonne’s showpiece, a jumble of towers, halls and courtyards that convey the changing fortunes of the city. That lucrative harbour silted up in medieval times, but Narbonne adapted with the Canal de la Robine, a green belt of water with historic bridges and elegant boulevards on either side, connecting with the Canal du Midi.
About fifteen kilometres to the east of Narbonne, City of Art and History, at the foot of the Clape mountain, in the Regional Natural Park of Narbonne in the Mediterranean, lies the seaside resort of Narbonne-Plage. Carrying the European Blue Flag label, the resort is appreciated for its long beach – no fewer than five kilometres of fine sand – which is great for relaxing, bathing, and for sports activities such as sailing, beach volleyball, jet-skiing, sand yachting, catamaran or sea kayak. There is also lots of entertainment in the summer at Narbonne-Plage, such as evening markets, open-air shows and traditional festivals.

Bretagne Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Breagne in France.
Brittany, the rugged west of France with picturesque old towns, castles and fortresses and the surf of the Atlantic that constantly laps against its rocky coastline. Its ancient name of Armorika meaning “The land of the sea ” underlines the historical significance of the ocean for those who live in this part of the world.English troops besieged Vitré for many years until the lords of the castle finally paid a high ransom for their freedom. The besieging army thus withdrew. The well fortified town subsequently enjoyed much prosperity and has remained in tact right up until the present day. Le Mont Saint-Michel with its historic buildings and eighty metre high granite mound is like something from a fairy tale. Powerful fortifications surround the small town and the abbey on top of the rock and due to its unique location and architectural splendour this picturesque village is often referred to as the Wonder Of The Occident. Saint Malo is the proud and solemn “Town Of The Corsairs”. Today’s yacht harbour once contained pirate ships that were used to attack unsuspecting merchant ships laden with rich cargo. This old pirate citadel located on the Emerald Coast is built from granite and looks as though it is an integral part of the rock. Dinan is a small and enchanting French town on the banks of the Rance is one of the most beautiful and well preserved mediaeval towns in Brittany. Today, cobbled lanes and several half-timbered buildings highlight the town’s colourful history. Brest was once the most important military harbour and submarine base in France but during the Second World War it was constantly bombed and more than half of it was destroyed. Its rebuilding programme introduced a number of new attractions such as the Océanopolis, a super-modern sea park that features a large number of animals and plants. The western part of France has many faces. The Romans once called it, “The end of the world”. A land of myths, castles, fishing villages and picturesque old towns. Brittany, even today, is a wild and natural paradise!

Réunion National Park is a national park on the island of Réunion, an overseas department of France in the western Indian Ocean.
Established on 5 March 2007, the park protects the endemic ecosystems of Les Hauts, Réunion's mountainous interior, and covers around 42% of the island.
Plans for a park date back to 1985, and in a public survey in 2004, the communes of Réunion approved the creation of a national park.
It officially came into existence in 2007.
The park's mission, other than preserving landscape and biodiversity, is to share knowledge and welcome visitors, and to work together with local communes.
It is a popular destination for hiking and mountaineering.
The isolation of the island and its diversity of habitats and microclimates have favoured the diversification of a highly endemic flora: Of the 850 known native plant species, 230 are endemic, and half of those are endangered.
This native flora is found at various altitudes.
Nearly as many exotic plants as native ones, 830, have become naturalised on the island, and 50 are considered invasive, threatening native flora and habitats.
The park's fauna includes notably several endemic bird species, such as Barau's petrel, the Réunion harrier, and the Réunion cuckooshrike.
In total, 18 bird species are found at Réunion, half of which are endemic.
At least 22 bird species have already gone extinct since human colonisation.
A major threat to the bird fauna are introduced cats and rats.
Of mammals, the Mauritian flying fox recolonised the Réunion after going extinct from the island.
Notable butterfly species include Papilio phorbanta and Salamis augustina, and an endemic reptile is the Reunion Island day gecko.
The national park constitutes one of Réunion's major attractions.
Its mountains are a popular destination for hiking and mountaineering; there are more than 900 km of marked trails, crossing such different landscapes as rain forests, sugar cane plantations and volcanic fields.
They include three long-distance trails approved by the French Hiking Federation, with mountain lodges along the trail.
More than 400,000 people each year visit the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, for which a discovery trail has been established.
