Paestum is a Greek settlement where you can find the best preserved Greek doric temples worldwide. Most of the ancient Greek city has not been excavated yet. Part of the site is also a museum showing excavated items such as statues, vases, metalwork, and painted grave stones.

Visit their renowned gardens, Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, and their spectacular Duomo, the Cathedral of Ravello, which is located in Vescovado Square. 8. Capri
The small Italian island of Capri is situated 5 km from the mainland in the Bay of Naples, a celebrated beauty spot and coastal resort since the days of the Roman Republic until now. Most notoriously, the emperor Tiberius had his villa on the island, the location (supposedly) of debauched orgies.
7. Pompeii & Herculaneum
Pompeii is in Campania, Italy, not far from Naples. Its major attraction is the ruined ancient Roman city of the same name, which was engulfed by Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This site is considered to be one of the few sites where an ancient city has been preserved in detail.
6. Certosa di San Martino
Certosa di San Martino, a former monastery complex, now a museum. It is the most visible landmark of the city, perched atop the Vomero hill that commands the gulf. A Carthusian monastery, it was finished and inaugurated under the rule of Queen Joan I in 1368. Today, the buildings house a museum with a display of Spanish and Bourbon era artifacts, as well as displays of the presepe—Nativity scene—considered to be among the finest in the world.

Naples Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral, the main church of Naples, southern Italy, and the seat of the Archbishop of Naples. It is widely known as the Cattedrale di San Gennaro, in honour of Saint Januarius, the city's patron saint, but is actually dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
2. Castel Nuovo
It is a medieval castle and the main symbol of the architecture of the city. It was first begun in 1279 by Charles I of Anjou and completed three years later. Castel Nuovo soon became the nucleus of the historical center of the city, and was often the site of famous events. For example, on December 13, 1294, Pope Celestine V resigned as pope in a hall of the castle. The event was famously depicted by Dante Alighieri in his masterpiece la Divina Commedia, in the verse Colui che per viltade fece il gran rifiuto.
1. Palazzo Reale
Palazzo Reale is one of the four residences used by the Bourbon Kings of Naples during their rule of the Kingdom of Two Sicilies (1730-1860). The Royal Palace is on the site of an earlier building meant to host King Philip III of Spain, who however never made the trip. The architect chosen for that palace was Domenico Fontana. The building was put up on the site of an even older Spanish viceroyal residence from the early 16th century.

Lago di TOBLINO e castello, lake and castle * trentino italy *
Toblino lake and its Castle are located near Trento (Italy).
Soundtrack: Through the Eyes of Love by Emile Pandolfi (piano)
Il brano al pianoforte è la versione strumentale della canzone Attraverso gli occhi dell'amore, tema del film Ice Castles del 1978 .....e tema dell'altro mio video sul lago di Toblino.

So, let's discover, the secret, of dante's house!
I am Eriberto, a scientist from Florence who is very passionate about the history of this city, therefore, I am making a series of videos about the secrets of Florence so if you haven't yet, be sure to click on the little i up here to watch my other videos about the secrets of Florence and also, be sure tu subscribe to not miss the latest videos.
Dante was born here in 1265, and more specifically, this place has been identified as his birthplace essentially for three reasons: firstly because he said that he was born in the shadows of the Badia Fiorentina, which is closeby, secondly because his neighbors were the Giuochi Family and their tower is right here. Also, the Parish were Dante used to go, the Oratorio di San Martino is here, and the church where Dante saw for the first time his beloved Beatrice, the church of Santa MARGHERITA dei Cerchi, is not far.
The secret I wanted to show you, is actually right here..on the floor! It's a profile of Dante, that was sculpted, on the floor. No one really knows who made it, and the other very interesting thing is that it's easy to identify where it is because as you can see it's always kept wet.

My first via Ferrata...!
A via ferrata (Italian for iron road) is a protected climbing route found in the Alps and certain other locations. The essence of a modern via ferrata is a steel cable fixed to the rock every 3 to 10 metres, all over the route leading to a summit or other alpine destination.
Their origin goes back many years: in 1492 Antoine de Ville, a captain in the French Army, wrote that he had used a ladder to reach the top of Mont Aguille. But we had to wait until 1880 for the first Italian Ferrata, when the Alpine Guides of Madonna di Campiglio in the Western Dolomites equipped the eastern side of the Cima Brenta to facilitate climbing for their clients.
But they are strongly associated with the First World War, when several were built in the Dolomite mountain region of Italy to aid the movement of troops. Now you can found via ferratas all over the world, in a range of different regions.
