La traversée du Canal de Mozambique n’est pas de celles que les tourdumondistes accueillent avec joie…et pour cause: des fenêtres météo courtes avec de violents coups de vents provenant du grand sud…Nous avons donc quitté Madagascar et son nid douillet avec excitation mais un peu d’appréhension..malgré un début et une fin de parcours musclé avec du 35 noeuds et une forte me , Gaïa a répondu présent et nous a amené à bon port, à peine essoufflé! (l’équipage par contre avait hâte de reprendre un peu son souffle!)
Crossing the Mozambique channel is not really a fun for sailors and for good reasons: short weather windows between violent winds coming from the south. So we left made and his cozy nest with excitement but also with some worries. Despite strong conditions at the beginning and the end of the passage with 35 knots and a strong sea, Gaia answered perfectly!

The Inhambane Province of Mozambique, also called Terra de Boa Gente (Land of the Good People), is home to some of the kindest individuals I have ever met. Two weeks were spent backpacking along the Southern Coast in between Tofo and Vilanculos, January 2016.
