Kampung Buntal - Buntal is a fishing village that a lot of people would visiting before heads to Damai Beach. There are some Malay foods stall and Seafood. Some would of course go to one of the many seafood restaurants along the river bank to have a seafood meal. Most of the Seafood restaurant is run by Chinese but they don't serve pork.

Damai Beach - a mere 10 minutes drive from Buntal, Damai beach is facing the breathtaking South China Sea and majestic Mount Santubong on behind. And the famous Sarawak Cultural Village also nearby within walking distance.

City Description:
Kuching, capital of the Malaysian state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo, is a bustling, diverse city of old colonial buildings and modern towers. Along its Sarawak River waterfront are food vendors, shophouses selling handicrafts and an esplanade with views of 19th-century landmarks: The Astana, former palace of the White Rajahs, and Fort Margherita, built to thwart pirates.Nearby is the contemporary, umbrella-roofed New Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building. Kuching has many temples, mosques and churches. Museums range from the Sarawak State Museum complex, with art, ethnology and natural history collections, to the feline-themed Cat Museum. Kuching is a popular base for exploring Sarawak’s parks and reserves, which shelter endangered wildlife such as proboscis monkeys. Bako National Park offers rugged terrain and walking trails through rainforest and along beaches. The craggy Santubong Peninsula, jutting into the South China Sea, features white-sand beaches and resort areas including Damai.

Weather and Events:
Peak travel periods are Dec–Feb and Jun–Sep. The tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with a rainy/monsoon season Nov–Mar. Many shops and restaurants close for Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Puasa and the end of Ramadan (all dates vary). Other key events include the Hindu festival of Thaipusam (Jan/Feb); Gawai Dayak (Jun), featuring longhouse feasts and traditional costumes and rituals of the Dayak ethnic group; and the Rainforest World Music Festival (Jul), with local and international performers.

Kuching is the capital of the Malaysian state of Sarawak on Borneo.
Kuching has a lot of delicious food such as laksa, kolo mee and fried oyster that are totally different from Penisular Malaysia.
By visiting Sarawak, you can stay close to the nature since there are numbers of beaches, national parks and wildlife centres. A variety of flora and fauna can be seen such as pitcher plant, rafflesia, proboscis monkey and orang utan.
You will be introduced to Sarawak's cultures and lifestyles by visiting Sarawak Cultural Village and Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse.
Kuching festival is held annually in August. Visitors can enjoy a lot of tasty food, games and performances in this festival.
Before leaving Sarawak, you can buy some souvenirs and native products such as kek lapis and black pepper in Main Bazar and Carpenter Street. Kuching Waterfront is near to Carpenter Street and it is the best place to chill in the evening.
In short, Kuching is a nice place to travel around.
