Hiking Silver Falls State Park, Salem Oregon
We took a road trip from Portland to Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. Silver Falls is such a beautiful 7.5 mile hike that holds 10 unique waterfalls. We did this beautiful hike for the first time and tried to capture all its beauty. The hike is for all skill levels as its pretty flat and is more of a walk than a hike, but there are so many beautiful waterfalls and picture-perfect moments you will find on this trail. Sit back and enjoy these highlights of our hike.
Silver Falls is easy to get to from Portland. Its only an hour south of Portland. Its a great day trip from Portland. There are other things to do besides hike.

Adventure Oregon - Butte Creek Falls
Adventure Oregon - Butte Creek Falls
Easy hike that is dog and family friendly. Butte Creek falls is located in the Santiam State Forest about 15 miles from the town of Scotts Mills, Oregon. This adventure requires a couple mile drive on a dirt road followed by a short hike. From Scotts Mills, take Crooked Finger Road out of town, once it pavement ends continue another 2 miles. Turn left on dirt road. Follow main dirt road down approx. another mile or two to the Butte Creek Falls trailhead. Easy 15 minute hike to the waterfall shown in this video. This video is of Upper Butte Creek Falls. Also available Lower Butte Creek falls, to see is follow the trail down stream. Upper Butte Creek is family and dog friendly. Lower Butte Creek has steep cliffs, not for kids or dogs. Nearby is Butte Creek Campground with a pit toilet and tent campsites. Beautiful location.
