Natural Lake Offensee in Austria
DER OFFENSEE
Der Offensee ist zwar mit dem Auto von der Abfahrt „Steinkogl der B-145 nach 9 km schnell erreicht, dort sind zwei große Parkplätze in Respektabstand zum Seeufer angelegt, sodass dieses Naturschutzgebiet am Nordrand des Toten Gebirges von unseren zivilisatorischen Errungenschaften unberührt ist.
Badegäste nehmen jedoch angesichts des hohen Erholungswertes des Sees gern in Kauf, dass sie eine Viertelstunde marschieren müssen, bis sie das kühlende Nass erreichen.
Seehöhe 649m, 60 ha Fläche, 900 m lang, 900 m breit, ca. 28 m tief, Naturschutzgebiet am Fuße des Toten Gebirges, glasklares Wasser, kostenlose Naturbadestrände, flach abfallende Uferzonen (besonders für Kinder und Nichtschwimmer geeignet);
Gut angelegter Rundwanderweg, Ausgangspunkt für ausgedehnte Wanderungen (z. B. Rinnerhütte, über den Hochpfad zum Almsee, Fahrnau ...) oder Mountainbiketouren. Bitte sehr langsam fahren, da viele Leute unterwegs sind. Gute Strecke zum Joggen (rund um den See sind es 5 km) , ehemaliges Jagdhaus von Kaiser Franz Josef, absolutes Tauchverbot. Öffentliches WC und Behinderten-WC beim linken Parkplatz. Badeverbot für Hunde!

Hall is only 10 minutes from Innsbruck by train. It is a cute, small town, but don't plan to spend more than an hour walking around.
