My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.

Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.

In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)



Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

four in the building. It is situated in beautifully maintained gated,
communal gardens of 2500m2 (0.61 of an acre) and the property has its
own private garden of 55m2 as well. The current owners not only make
use of it for their own holidays but also let it, the income being
around 7/8,000 per annum. The outgoings are low ? the local taxes
amount to 530 annually with an extra 118 for the television licence.

consists of 2 good-sized bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, a shower room

property is just a 2 minute walk to all the amenities of the village
which has a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a
cinema. There is also a large lake with a beach which is just a 10
minute walk. The nearest beach is 6km - about 10 minutes in the car or
a cycle ride on the cycle tracks through the forest. The Cte Landaise
stretches from the Dune du Pilat to the north, near Arcachon, to the
Adour estuary at Bayonne, a natural playground of hundreds of
kilometres of ocean beach, forest trails and shimmering lakes,
interspersed with family-friendly resorts such as St Girons Plage,
Vieux Boucau and Moliets Plage and all-year-round towns such as Leon,
Capbreton, Soustons and Europe's undisputed surf capital, Hossegor. The
jewel in the crown is Biarritz ? chic and lively and adored by the
Parisians. And if all of that is not enough to keep you occupied, the
Spanish border and the ski stations of the Pyrenees are just a short
drive. A wide variety of water sports is available locally and there
are countless kilometres of cycle and walking trails. Golf and
horse-riding are also easily accessible. The vineyards of Bordeaux are
a pleasant day-trip away. Landais and Gascon cultures mingle towards
the north with the celebrated Bordelais cuisine and to the south, with
Basque and Spanish influences, making for great variety in the local
restaurant menus. The natural environment, range of activities and, of
course, exceptional beaches, make the Cte Landaise a fantastic holiday
destination. Access to the region is easy with flight connections to
numerous UK destinations from the nearby airports at Biarritz, Pau and
Bordeaux. For those who prefer a more leisurely progress, there is the
Portsmouth/Santander ferry or Eurostar from London connecting with the
TGV network to Bordeaux or Biarritz.

Lancement de la saison touristique 2015

L'équipe de l'Office de Tourisme a lancé la saison touristique 2015 ce lundi 15 juin à l'Hippodrome des Grands Pins.

Placée sous le signe de la convivialité, cette soirée a débuté par la visite de l'hippodrome. Une visite qui a été suivie par la présentation des temps forts de l'été ainsi que des actions estivales à travers une vidéo (préparée exclusivement pour cette rencontre).
