Monteriggioni is a comune in the province of Siena in the Italian region Tuscany. It borders on the communes of Casole d'Elsa, Castellina in Chianti, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Colle di Val d'Elsa, Poggibonsi, Siena and Sovicille.[2] The town is architecturally and culturally significant; it hosts several piazzas, and is referenced in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, as well as a playable locale in Ubisoft's video game installments Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
Monteriggioni is a medieval walled town, located on a natural hillock, built by the Sienese in 1214–19 as a front line in their wars against Florence,[3] by assuming command of the Via Cassia running through the Val d'Elsa and Val Staggia to the west.
During the conflicts between Siena and Florence in the Middle Ages, the city was strategically placed as a defensive fortification. It also withstood many attacks from both the Florentines and the forces of the Bishop of Volterra. In 1554 the Sienese were able to place control of the town's garrison to Giovannino Zeti, who had been exiled from Florence. In 1554, in an act of reconciliation with the Medicis, Zeti simply handed the keys of the town over to the Medicean forces - considered a great betrayal by the town's people. From Wikipedia

In a panoramic position over the valley of the Chianti area, just ten minutes from the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in one of the most beautiful areas of the whole province of Siena, is located this wonderful typical Tuscan independent house with large garden surrounding.
The property has been converted with a careful and sophisticated renovation of a barn dating back to 1794, as can be seen from the incision on the front door along with the initials of the builders.
The restoration has preserved the originality of the house, leaving unaltered the typical rustic Tuscan style. Set on two levels, for a total of approximately 250 m², the house is composed on the ground floor of a large living room with fireplace dating from the 18th century and a kitchen with a second fireplace. On the first floor, the sleeping area, featuring wooden floors made from an old ship, consists of two large bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with sink in 1700. The property is decorated with hand-made Vietri ceramics and from solid chestnut wood fixtures.
The garden of the property covers a surface of about 7200 m², there are 49 olive trees and other fruit trees, as well as a pool outside ground in the most panoramic position.
