Top 10 Hotels in Malacca (Malaysia)
Malacca (Malay: Melaka; Tamil: மலாக்கா, simplified Chinese: 马六甲; traditional Chinese: 馬六甲) dubbed The Historic State,[15] is a state in Malaysia located in the southern region of the Malay Peninsula, next to the Strait of Malacca.
The state is bordered by Negeri Sembilan to the north and west and Johor to the south. The exclave of Cape Rachado also borders Negeri Sembilan to the north. Its capital is Malacca City, which is 148 kilometres (92 miles) south east of Malaysia's capital city Kuala Lumpur, 235 kilometres (146 miles) north west of Johor's largest city Johor Bahru, and 95 km (59 miles) north west of Johor's second largest city, Batu Pahat. This historical city centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.[16]
Although it was the location of one of the earliest Malay sultanates, the local monarchy was abolished when the Portuguese conquered it in 1511. The head of state is the Yang di-Pertua Negeri or Governor, rather than a Sultan. Various ethnic customs and traditions blended perfectly in Malacca. Peaceful life of the people of Malacca races due to the life that gave birth to the Malay, Chinese, Indian, Baba and Nyonya, Portuguese, Chitty and Eurasian
A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. Facilities provided may range from a modest-quality mattress in a small room to large suites with bigger, higher-quality beds, a dresser, a refrigerator and other kitchen facilities, upholstered chairs, a flat screen television, and en-suite bathrooms. Small, lower-priced hotels may offer only the most basic guest services and facilities. Larger, higher-priced hotels may provide additional guest facilities such as a swimming pool, business centre (with computers, printers, and other office equipment), childcare, conference and event facilities, tennis or basketball courts, gymnasium, restaurants, day spa, and social function services. Hotel rooms are usually numbered (or named in some smaller hotels and B&Bs) to allow guests to identify their room. Some boutique, high-end hotels have custom decorated rooms. Some hotels offer meals as part of a room and board arrangement. In the United Kingdom, a hotel is required by law to serve food and drinks to all guests within certain stated hours.[citation needed] In Japan, capsule hotels provide a tiny room suitable only for sleeping and shared bathroom facilities.

Things To Do In Kuala Lumpur – Getting To Batu Caves
Things To Do In Kuala Lumpur – Getting To Batu Caves
This is a video on Getting To Batu Caves from KLCC. More photos and details on how to get to Batu Caves on our post -
We took the LRT from KLCC station that is at Petronas Twin Towers / Suria KLCC to KL Sentral station. Then switched to KTM Komuter line (blue) to travel from KL Sentral station to Batu Caves station.
In all it took us about 80 minutes because there was some time taken to find the entrances to the right lines, locating the ticket counter, understanding how to pay for the tickets, etc.
In the video you can see the steps to take from KLCC station, from locating the station to buying tickets to travel from KLCC station to KL Sentral station. KLCC station is named KJ10 KLCC.
There are ticket machines to buy tickets for travel from one station to another. Only cash is accepted, there is no credit card or any other form of card payment for the tickets.
Do take note that some machines only accept coins and MYR$1 and MYR$5. (we are not mentioning the cost of the tickets because costs can change over time)
There is a transit map next to the ticketing machines. Locate that to see how to travel from one station to another. For our trip, we were at KLCC station. So we took the LRT Laluan Kelana Jaya line (red) to KL Sentral station.
Then we exit from the LRT red line. Located the KTM Komuter ticket counter. Bought tickets to travel on the KTM blue line from KL Sentral station to Batu Caves station.
