BMW GS Safari Australia northern NSW - BMW GS650 Sertao - Adventure rider tips - with CC languages

Tips and trick to ride a GS Safari in Australia - 1) take the smallest and lightest GS allowed 2) leave early (as possible in the allowed times) each day 3) get physically fit before you attend, ie run, walk and train 4) wear goggles for dust (not a visor) 5) Fit new 606 knobby tires (or MotoOz Desert) at the start using the BMW tire truck. book your tires before you go.

Be smart - don't take the massive GS1250 - choose the smallest & lightest GS allowed - the BMW GS 650 Sertao (181kg ! ) super easy to pickup and to ride in sand! - A five-day BMW Safari experience, narrated with CC captions for silent viewing at work. The Safari departed Ballina, via Glen Innes, Armidale, Port Macquarie, Forster; snaking it’s way south along unsealed dirt farm roads and back roads.

Includes satellite maps of the best adventure dirt ride routes in NE NSW Australia. Any section you see in my video is fully named on-screen lower left... go ride it.

Some say the GS1200 is “the bike” - but personally, i would recommend the smallest bike allowed on these Safari rallies - I had a great time riding the 650cc GS and it was no slouch either and in most cases you pass all the 800's and 1200's in the dirt. Maybe it's that saying that it's more fun to ride a smaller bike hard, than a bigger bike softly.
