Trois Rivieres (Three Rivers) is located in the Canadian province of Quebec where the Saint Maurice River meets the St. Lawrence River. The name is derived from the three mouths of the Saint Maurice created by two small islands.
This historic city was founded on July 4, 1634 and was incorporated on June 10, 1857. Trois Rivieres is located in the Mauricie Region and has a population of around 137,000 (152,000 metro).
Located at the junction of highway 40 and highway 55, Trois Rivieres is 140 kilometres northeast of Montreal and 129 KM southwest of Quebec City. The city is connected with the south shore of the St. Lawrence Seaway by the Laviolette Bridge. The bridge was opened on December 20, 1967 and is 2,707 metres or 8,881 feet in length.

GUADELOUPE : LA BASSE-TERRE
La Guadeloupe regorge de nombreux trésors à explorer. Particulièrement en Basse-Terre où la nature est dense et riche en diversité. Durant 3 jours j'ai exploré quelques-unes de ses routes, sentiers, rivières, montagnes et plages.
Cette vidéo réalisée en partenariat (non rémunéré) avec Sixt Antilles qui m'a laissé conduire sa Dacia Duster pour explorer la Basse-Terre.
Vous pouvez y apercevoir :
- Le Fort Louis Delgrès, symbole de résistance et de liberté. Ce fut un lieu important pour la lutte contre l'esclavage.
- La Anse à la Barque qui est un port naturel. Deux corvettes napoléoniennes reposent dans ses profondeurs.
- La trace de la Grande Pointe. Une promenade formidable avec vue sur les Saintes et où la rivière La Coulisse se jette dans la mer après un enchainement de cascades.
- La Bassin Paradise, dans lequel on peut se baigner et plonger. C'est un lieu incroyable, comme suspendu hors du temps.
- Bananier qui est une plage de sable noir magnétique, mais avant tout un spot de surf très connu en Guadeloupe.
- Et globalement les alentours de Trois-Rivières.
