Trans Siberian Railroad Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Trans Siberian Railroad in Siberia.
The most beautiful section of the Trans Siberian Railroad travels from Irkutsk in Siberia to the massive Lake Baikal. It takes in Ulan Ude as well as the border town of Nauschki and terminates at the Mongolian capital of Ulaan Baatar. Varied landscapes and exotic towns turn this journey into a fascinating adventure.Travelling from Moscow, and after a total of three days and more than five thousand kilometres on the train, we disembark at Irkutsk, the most beautiful city in Siberia. The city became home of the Dekrabisten who fought for liberty in the former Tsarist empire and were eventually banished to Siberia where they introduced their own culture. In Port Baikal is the remarkable and modern Circum-Baikal train that takes a full day to travel around Lake Baikal. Ulan Ude is an exotic city with a population of a million and for the first time we get a feeling of being in Asia. However, the largest head of Lenin in the world emphasises the region’s association with Mother Russia. In 1666 a winter fortress was built on the Uda River by Russian Cossacks who were travelling east, the Verchneundinsk Fortress. Ulaan Baatar: the station is very quiet. Under the severe stare of the female train guards, passengers leave the train and the luggage is unloaded. The Trans Siberian Railroad is still the longest railway line in the world and connects the continents of Europe and Asia. It is truly a technical miracle and a legend that has survived the passage of time.

VIDEO Kikuchi; A City of Water, Nature and History
Kikuchi is located in the center of Kyushu, in northern Kumamoto Prefecture.
Here, spring water from the outer mountains of Mt. Aso trickles out of Kikuchi Suigen and forms the Kikuchi River and the Koshi River, both of which flow through the city.
This pure water nourishes the earth, which allows farmers here to produce a wide variety of crops.
But there is more to Kikuchi than just natural beauty.
The city was known as a vibrant and busting castle town from the Heian period through to the Muromachi period.
Even today, the city offers glimpses of medieval history and culture through its numerous historic sites, temples and shrines.
With its vast natural environment and rich history, Kikuchi truly is an idyllic garden city.

Beijing Subway, Metro:
Beijing subway is the fastest transportation in downtown and it is a good way to avoid frequent traffic jams. Presently there are 18 subway lines plus one airport express line in operation. They connect city center stops such as Tiananmen Square, Qianmen, and the railway station with outlying areas.
The price is charged according to the distance. It is CNY3 for the first 3.7 miles (6km), CNY4 for 3.7 to 7.5 miles (6 to 12km), CNY5 for 7.5 to 13.7 miles (12 to 22km), CNY6 for 13.7 to 20 miles (22 to 32km), extra CNY2 for every additional 12.4 miles (20km) if distance over 20 miles (32km). A Transportation Smart Card can be used for paying. The stops are announced in both Chinese and English. Passengers can query the subway staff to avoid going in the wrong direction and wasting time.
Notes:
1. A child shorter than 4.3 feet (1.3 meters) cannot ride metro alone. If an adult takes one child below 4.3 feet high on the metro, the child is free of charge; if two, one of the children is free of charge.
2. Tickets are issued for one-day use only.
3. It is suggested to prepare loose change beforehand to take metro. At most stations passengers can buy the ticket either at the Customer Service Center or self-service ticket vending machine, but some stations are only equipped with ticket vending machines which accept 1RMB coins, 5RMB and 10RMB banknotes.
Travel Tips on Taking Beijing Metro:
1. Commonly, there are four entrances in four directions for each stop. So, you should make sure which one to take when getting out of the station or you will probably get lost. You can find signs with the main destinations at crossings of the passageway.
2. The metro stations are clean and have English signs directing tourists to the exits and nearby places that you are likely trying to find.
3. In this city, the metro stations are marked with a blue sign with letter D inside a circle on it.
4. Passengers can find toilets on the platform level or in the ticket hall of each stop.
5. Take good care of your personal things as the crowded carriages have one or two pickpockets on peak hours now and then.
6. No pets can be taken on the metro.
7. Please keep out the yellow line when you are waiting for the metro.
8. There are many attractions worth visiting along the Subway Line 2.
Matsumoto Castle Virtually - Nagano Prefecture Japan
Matsumoto Castle Virtually
I had filmed this sim back in November of 2010 but had to put it all aside to care for family Im so glad I found them so I was able to piece this together.
Here's a little about the Matsumoto Castle.
Matsumoto Castle is the oldest castle in Nagano. Nagano is a city in Japan which is located in Matsumoto, in Nagano Prefecture.
Matsumoto Castle is a fortress which has six floors. On every floor we can see the history at that time. On the first floor is the ground floor and on the sixth floor you can see the view from the top.
Matsumoto Castle is a fortress located in Matsumoto, which is one of the most complete form of palaces and old in Japan, Matsumoto. If you want to enjoy how beautiful the Matsumoto Castle then you can use ground transportation lane. By foot you can reach the Castle Matsumoto for 15 minutes. In addition to achieving Matsumoto Castle, you can also use trains in the area of Matsumoto.
Matsumoto Castle (Matsumoto-jo?), also known as the Crow Castle (??, Karasu-jo?) because of its black exterior, is one of Japan's premier historic castles.[1] It is located in the city of Matsumoto, in Nagano Prefecture and is within easy reach of Tokyo by road or rail.
The keep (tenshukaku), which was completed in the late 16th century, maintains its original wooden interiors and external stonework. It is listed as a National Treasure of Japan.
Matsumoto Castle is a flatland castle (hirajiro) because it is not built on a hilltop or amid rivers, but on a plain.[1] Its complete defences would have included an extensive system of inter-connecting walls, moats and gatehouses.
The castle's origins go back to the Sengoku period. At that time Shimadachi Sadanaga of the Ogasawara clan built a fort on this site in 1504 which was originally called Fukashi Castle. In 1550 it came under the rule of the Takeda clan and then Tokugawa Ieyasu.
When Toyotomi Hideyoshi transferred Ieyasu to the Kanto region, he placed Ishikawa Norimasa in charge of Matsumoto. Norimasa and his son Yasunaga built the tower and other parts of the castle, including the three towers: the keep and the small tower in the northwest, both begun in 1590, and the Watari Tower; the residence; the drum gate; the black gate, the Tsukimi Yagura, the moat, the innermost bailey, the second bailey, the third bailey, and the sub-floors in the castle, much as they are today. They were also instrumental in laying out the castle town and its infrastructure. It is believed much of the castle was completed by 1593--94.

Places to see in ( Naples - Italy ) Posillipo
Places to see in ( Naples - Italy ) Posillipo
Posillipo is a residential quarter of Naples, southern Italy, located along the northern coast of the Gulf of Naples; it is called Pusilleco in the Neapolitan language. From the 1st century BC the Bay of Naples witnessed the rise of villas constructed by elite Romans along the most panoramic points of the coast, who had chosen the area as a favourite vacation spot. The remains of some of these can be seen today in the archaeological park and elsewhere.
he houses at water's edge all have at least small piers or landings, and there are even a few small coves with breakwaters along the way. These small harbors are the nuclei for separate, named communities such as Gaiola and Marechiaro, with the characteristic Large rock.
The French Homeric scholar Victor Bérard identified Posillipo as the land of Homer's Cyclopes. It is mentioned in ancient Greek and Roman sources and the Greeks first named this rocky, wooded height at the western end of the Bay of Naples Pausílypon, meaning respite from worry.
In the 17th century the property of the site of the imperial villa passed to the family Maza who, for several generations, showed an interest in archaeology and Francesco Maria Maza (circ. 1680) was the author of inscriptions which he affixed to the so-called 'Piscine of V.Pollio' and to the 'Temple of Fortune' which were in situ in 1913. However the Maza collection was dispersed and the loss to archaeological science was irreparable as a catalogue had never been prepared. Several objects of art from Posillipan sites found their way into the hands of Spanish collectors, and are still no doubt among the Roman antiquities in Spain. Many fine pieces were taken to Mergellina and lost among the other ornaments of the villa of the Duke of Medina.
In 1820 the southern portion of the property was purchased by a well-known Neapolitan archaeologist, Cavaliere Guglielmo Bechi, and his name was associated with the Villa for more than half a century. He did much excavation, but again without publication of results.
In 1841 more methodical excavations were begun on the adjoining property to the west of the ancient lane that led down the valley from the Seiano cave to the sea. The principal buildings of that part of the Villa were soon brought to light; the Theatre, an Odeon, and the remains of a Portico overlooking the sea. An oblong building called the Temple was also found and the remains of an aqueduct.
In about 1870 the Marchese del Tufo opened a quarry for pozzolana clearing away the central part of what had been a broad continuous terrace along the south front of the property in Roman times. The buildings that stood on the hillside above the terrace, including the southern part of the baths, fell down the slope into the sea.
The archaeological park is one of the most beautiful places in the city and along the coast of Posillipo. Among the most important sites are the Seiano cave, the underwater park of Gaiola, the imperial villa of Pausilypon, the Odeon, the theatre and the Palace of the Spirits.
The ruins of the Roman villa of Vedius Pollio, also known as the Imperial Villa, include a 2000-seat theatre on the rocky promontary at the end of the Bay of Naples. Some of the villa's rooms can be seen with traces of the wall decorations while its marine structures and fish ponds are now part of the neighbouring submerged Gaiola (Park) Park.
( Naples - Italy ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Naples . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Naples - Italy
