Verkhneuslonsky District is an administrative and municipal district , one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the west of the republic. The area of the district is 1,373.9 square kilometers . Its administrative center is the rural locality of Verkhny Uslon. Population: 16,641 ; 17,957 ; 19,894 . The population of Verkhny Uslon accounts for 27.0% of the district's total population. The district was the home base of the Colombian men's national football team during the 2018 Russia World Cup.
