Deer Creek State Park lies in the southwest corner of beautiful Heber Valley and consistently provides some of Utah's finest year-round fishing. Anglers fish for rainbow trout, brown trout, perch, large mouth bass, small mouth bass, and walleye. Beautiful Deer Creek reservoir is also extremely popular for boating, wind surfing, sunbathing, swimming, and sailboating.

Red Cliffs Campground, Red Cliffs Recreation Area, St. George, Utah Campsite Photos
The campground is in the Red Cliffs Recreation Area and is located just off Interstate 15, 14 miles northeast of St. George, Utah, and 35 miles south of Cedar City, Utah. It is nestled into a shaded nook of riparian vegetation just minutes from the freeway. Directly adjacent to, and accessible from the campground, are a series of trails and interpreted archaeological and paleontological sites. The campground and surrounding areas are all within the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area, which has been set aside to conserve, protect, and enhance ecological, scenic, wildlife, recreational, cultural, historical, natural, educational, and scientific resources. Due north of the campground are the steep and beautiful red rocks of the Cottonwood Canyon Wilderness.

On rare occasions when the Gunlock Reservoir gets a lot of precipitation it overflows and creates these beautiful waterfalls! Living close to St. George definitely has it's perks!

Sherbert Mountain, Utah Volcano
They do Nature exceptionally well in Utah. I had no idea.
We spent a weekend with some paleontologists on a fossil dig and had an open day to hike around so we went to Snow Canyon and the mountains are a multi-colored visual amazement made from condensed lava left over by eruptions way back when.
Give it up for Utah.
