Vypin Island is one of the group of islands that form part of the city of Kochi, in the South Indian state of Kerala. Vypin is one of the densely populated islands in Asia. The island is about 27 kilometres (17 mi) long and is connected to mainland Kochi by a series of bridges known as the Goshree bridges, which start at Kalamukku in Vypin, touch other two islands and then finish at Marine Drive covering a total distance of around 3 km (1.9 mi).

Vypeen Island Kerala Complete Sightseeing
Vypeen Island is one of the islands in Arabian sea on the western coast of Cochin. The island is well connected by ferry service to Ernakulam. There is also ferry service from Vypeen Island to Fort Kochi and Welingdon Island. Ferry takes about 15 minutes from Ernakulam to Vypeen and is very cheap- just 5 Rs per head. You can see everything in the island, houses, shops, roads, vehicles and everything that you find in the mainland. Many people carry their vehicles (cars, bikes etc.) regularly to and from Vypeen Island by the ferry services. After reaching Vypeen Island we took a walk towards the beach. We first saw Chinese fishing nets which were quite interesting. After that we walked further to see Vypeen beach. The beach has a special charm as you can see Fort Kochi and other islands from here at short distance on the other side of the water. Besides you can see various types of boats and ferries. The harbour and ships are visible at short distance from Vypeen beach.

Puthuvype is an upcoming major Industrial area in Kochi. It is situated Approximate 5km west of High Court Junction. Puthuvype Beach is one of the beautyful beach in ernakulam and the best hangout place in Kochi; but also the least explored.
Puthuvype Lighthouse is available for guests and gives you the clear view of the beautiful ocean. Entry to the light house is permitted from 3 P.M to 5 P.M.
Purhuvype beach is the Most favourite location of photographers and it is the best beach for wedding photography.

Kochi (also known as Cochin) is a city in southwest India's coastal Kerala state. It has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use for centuries.
1.Fort Kochi:
Fort Kochi is a small village along the Arabian coastline and is famous for the Chinese Fishing Nets, Dutch Cemetery, Synagogue and Churches.
2.Cherai Beach:
Located on the north end of the Vypeen Island, the Cherai Beach offers a beautiful sunset point. The beach is also popular for its golden sand, palm trees and wide expanse of blue water.
3.Marine drive:
