Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide
Alice Springs tends to evoke contradiction and polarises travellers – some love it and some hate it. But either way, you'll undoubtedly end up here at some point if you tour the Red Centre. The town has a lot to offer visitors including a wide range of accommodation, excellent dining options and travel connections. For many travellers, Alice Springs is their first encounter with contemporary Indigenous Australia – with its enchanting art, mesmerising culture and present-day challenges.
This ruggedly beautiful town is shaped by its mythical landscapes, vibrant Aboriginal culture (where else can you hear six uniquely Australian languages in the main street?) and tough pioneering past. The town is a natural base for exploring central Australia, with Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park a relatively short four-hour drive away. The mesmerising MacDonnell Ranges stretch east and west from the town centre, and you don't have to venture far to find yourself among ochre-red gorges, pastel-hued hills and ghostly white gum trees.

Welcome to Alice Springs in the Northern Territory Australia. Our first stop is the Desert Park. This park was created to show you the three different types of ecosystems that are in the Red Center of the Northern Territory. Desert and Rivers, Sand Country and Wood Lands.
Next up is Simpsons Gap. This is a very popular spot outside of Alice Springs. It took water 65 millions years to make it through the gap.
This is the Standley Chasm, it's a gorge that is 5 meters in width, and 75 meters in height. The best time to come is mid-day so you can see the sun shining through the gorge.
Now for the fun part! Feeding rock wallabies at the Heavy Tree Gap Lodge. This is the only place in Alice Springs where you can do this.
Lastly we take a hot air balloon flight with Outback Balloons. This is the best way to see the Red Center.

Our Big Trip - Northern Territory & Western Australia
After four months in southeast asia we landed in Darwin, Australia. We hired a wicked 4WD van (and called it lovelly MACHINA) and visited Litchfield and Kakadu National Park, before we drove west and through the Gibb River Road to Broome. What an awesome journey - full of nice waterholes, gorges and wild animals. After this outback trip we had a short look at Middle Lagoon and Cape Leveque on the Dampier Peninsula, before we headed back east. On the way back we stopped at Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungles), Lake Argyle and in Katherine for the Gorge and the Edith Falls in the Nitmiluk National Park. Time flew in this 3.5 weeks - but have a look by yourself at the best moments on our way!
