A True US Roadtrip: Roundtrip from North Carolina to Cali
This 11 minute tour of the United States from 'coast to coast' is a compilation of video footage recorded during a cross-country road trip from May 13, 2012 - June 13, 2012. The total miles driven were 8631, including a total of 19 states (listed below). ALL footage is 100% ORIGINAL, taken with a Canon PowerShot SX30 IS and Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS. I am not a professional photographer, director, or movie editor; just a guy with his girlfriend and a camera who explored this beautiful country during one incredible summer month. The videos were intentionally shot from a first-person perspective, and I hope that you can see the culture shine through the places that we visited.

Avenue of the Giants
NOTE: This is not a new video. This video had been uploaded some time ago but You Tube's Auto-Fix feature actually ruined the video, so I have deleted it and uploaded my original file once more :-)
This scenic loop road off of Hwy 101 in northern California is home to some of the largest and tallest trees in the world. The 40 mile loop takes you through beautiful Humboldt Redwoods State Park passing through the tiny town of Myers Flat. Avenue of the Giants is also designated as Hwy 254. See if you can see the deer cross the road in front of us at about the 12 minute mark :-)

We hit the road in 2006 and haven’t stopped since. We combine technology and perpetual travel (tech+nomad) to create a sustainable lifestyle on our own terms.
Our ‘home base’ is a geeked out 1961 vintage bus conversion that we travel the country in. We love mixing it up with other travel modes – island life, trains, planes, ships, and cool rentals. We're currently shopping for a boat, to split our time on the water.
We work remotely as technology & strategy advisors, app developers and authors sucking up mobile internet bandwidth.
When our cat, Kiki, allows it – we love sharing a slice of our life from the road.

Gelmerbahn: The Highest Roller Coaster in the World
The Gelmerbahn in the canton of Bern is the steepest funicular in Switzerland and Europe.
The video starts with normal speed and then accelerates continuously up to 100 times to give a roller coaster feeling. The real thing is more impressive, although the cable car descents very slowly.
