City Description:
Fukuoka, capital of Fukuoka Prefecture, sits on the northern shore of Japan’s Kyushu Island. It’s known for ancient temples, beaches and modern shopping malls, including Canal City. Maizuru Park contains ruins of 17th-century Fukuoka Castle. The central Hakata district contains Tōchō-ji Temple, home to a 10m wooden Buddha and the Hakata Machiya Folk

Weather and Events:
Peak periods include Mar–May and Aug–Dec. Summers are hot and humid and winters are mild, with a rainy season Jun–Sep. The Hakata Dontaku Festival (May) features a costumed parade with traditional music and dance. The Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival (Jul) sees men racing through the streets carrying giant floats.

Minakami-machi , Gunma Prefecture , Japan Houshi hot spring in the snow

We visited Houshi Onsen in winter.
Chojukan nestling in the snow which goes down, and is piled up calmly.
Here is the quiet scenery that time perches on.
Special time goes by to Chojukan of establishment of a business 140 years
Please feel the tranquility of the winter of Houshi Onsen.

Fish Market & Mikan Picking! Manazuru - Kanagawa Prefecture!

On Day Two in Manazuru we woke up super early to head to the fish market and have fish soup for breakfast! We then head back to the Ryokan for an amazing traditional Japanese lunch. Then we continued on to the Stone Mason, one of the biggest in Japan where everyone gets their Headstones for their graves! We finished this trip off by heading to Matsumoto Mikan Farm and got let loose to roam and pick as many Mikan as we could!
