CHASED BY COWS || SWCP - Clovelly - Hartland Quay
I will be walking the coast path in aid of this families wish.....
SWCP - Clovelly - Hartland Quay
This walk was all a bit backwards, not because of the path but because of some stupid decision making on my part. ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT! Thanks what I'm taking from this anyway.
Apologies for the rant, along with this I had so encounters with cows and had to run up so vertical hills, sleep on a car park floor and fall a little bit more in love with this path!! All in all it was a fun two days

Wild Shorts - Mouth Mill
This short film is a winning entry to the North Devon AONB Wild Shorts competition 2016 - Family Category.
This film is about one of my family's favourite walks. Lorenzo walks from Clovelly, through the ancient woodland, to Mouth Mill where he enjoys the view and plays on the beach before making a camp fire to cook some sausages. After his meal he heads for home.

Places to see in ( Hartland - UK )
Places to see in ( Hartland - UK )
The village of Hartland, whose parish incorporates the hamlet of Stoke to the west and the village of Meddon in the south, is the most north-westerly settlement in the county of Devon, England.
Now a large village which acts as a centre for a rural neighbourhood and has minor tourist traffic, until Tudor times Hartland was an important port. It lies close to the promontory of Hartland Point, where the coast of Devon turns from facing north into the Bristol Channel to face west into the Atlantic Ocean. There is an important lighthouse on the point. The town's harbour, Hartland Quay, is to the south of the point: the quay was originally built in the late 16th century but was swept away in 1887. The high tower of the Church of Saint Nectan in Stoke remains a significant landmark for ships in the Bristol Channel.
Hartland is a convenient centre for walking parts of the South West Coast Path, and the wild coastal scenery around the point is some of the most dramatic on the path, with views across to Lundy Island. From Hartland Point, the Lundy Company operates its helicopter service to Lundy between November and March. The 319 bus service, a council-supported infrequent route operated by Stagecoach Devon, runs from Barnstaple to Hartland and return. There is also a 519 service which runs to Bude.
The town was in the past known as Harton and was an unreformed borough, finally abolished in 1886. In medieval times there was an important abbey at Hartland, where the shrine of St Nectan was venerated. Hartland Abbey and the parish church are located some two miles away in Stoke. Hartland Abbey was built in 1157 and consecrated by Bartholomew Iscanus in 1160.
Saint Nectan, sometimes styled Saint Nectan of Hartland, was a 5th-century Celtic holy man who lived in Stoke. The Anglican church is St Nectan's Church, Stoke, Hartland. The Roman Catholic Church (Our Lady and St Nectan's Church, Hartland) was opened in 1964: it was also dedicated to St Nectan. The building was closed in 2010 due to unavailability of a priest to celebrate mass there, and was demolished in 2012.
The Parish Church of St Nectan has the highest tower in Devon (128 ft), built in the late Perpendicular style. The church is large (137 ft long) and was built in the mid 14th century. Notable features include the fine Norman font, the rood screen (the finest in north Devon) and the old wagon roofs. The monuments include an elaborate medieval tomb-chest, a small brass of 1610 and a metal-inlaid lid of a churchyard tomb of 1618.
( Hartland - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Hartland . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Hartland - UK

Bucks Mill waterfall, near Clovelly, north Devon coast, 11 April 2016..
Turning off the A39 at Buck's Cross, the road soon enters a deeply incised valley, almost a small canyon. The coast is just 500m walk from the carpark, descending through a very beautiful hamlet, it's barely a village. Historically an isolated, self-sufficient hamlet existing off fishing (lobsters & shellfish, herring & mackerel), small agricultural patches clinging to the steep valley side, & lime burning (the beach sands are calcium-rich, so local culm...a mixture of anthracite & limestone....was burnt to provide agricultural lime). The brook once powered a corn mill. I believe the hamlet industry now comprises holiday homes & lets, construction & repair services plus artist paintings for the wider region. Unable to get a clear view of the waterfall, due to too high a tide, the steep & unstable beach cobbles plus waterfall spray. Hence video just gives general impression: it looked ~18m high & in good flow. The upper Carboniferous strata steeply dip inland + south (helping to stabilise against seaward collapse) & with a slight tilt down to east. Even so, permanent sea erosion at the base, then collapse under gravity, always wins out. The cobbles & boulders we see form part of the supply to Westward Ho! 'Pebble' Ridge, carried there by longshore drift. Video commences by viewing to NE, you can't directly glimpse Westward Ho! from here, but it's just behind the mid-distance cliff edge. Hartland Point is 14 km to west & also invisible from here. Clovelly however, just 4 km to west, is visible in this video. In my commentary on its fishing catch, I wrongly stated haddock: it should be herring. Sea mist, which may even have been rain, rendered Lundy Island also invisible.
Lydford Gorge Dartmoor, DJI Osmo Family Video, White Lady Falls Waterfall
We visited Lydford Gorge on our summer holiday touring round Devon and Cornwall, so took DJI Osmo gimbal camera out for a family video.
This was all filmed handheld with DJI Osmo using a cheap ebay extension stick and my Android phone for control. The original sound is appalling (was still waiting for Rode Mike which was delayed), so I've turned it right down.
At 30 Metres/90 feet, the White Lady Waterfall is the highest waterfall in the south west of England, well worth a visit if your in the area especially if your a member of the National Trust so its a free way to entertain kids for a few hours.
