Video: Clips taken with Go Pro 4 at Thulusdhoo island, an inhabited island about 40 minute speedboat from Male (capital city), The Maldives.
This is part of my efforts to promote local islands and local tourism in Maldives, which benefits the community and the average Maldivian.
In this video I used the following services:
Transfers to and from the island - Province ferry from Male (a couple of dollars each way)
Guest house- Surfers World (100% recommend)
Diving and dolphin watching- Scuba Divine (located on nearby island called Huraa - again 100% recommend)
Snorkelling- Thulusdhoo house reef (perfection!)
Soon I'll write a blog post about my experience staying on Thulusdhoo but for now check out my blog at to find many posts on various other local islands including Maafushi and Huraa in this atoll (Kaafu atoll) as well as down in Addu atoll. I've also got posts of various resorts (FUN island, Filhaaholi, Paradise island) I've stayed in during my time living and working in Maldives.

This is a difficult dive out from Gan in Addu Atoll, Maldives. We tried it one day but one of the divers didn't go down right away and we missed the corner. It was just Bobbi and I and the guide Umar on the second day and we made it. This dive includes sharks and mantas, more information here
