Christians 1st Go-kart drive
While in Wisconsin Dells on 9/11/2010 Christian got his first chance to drive a go-kart all by himself! Take A Dare had some Jr carts available to kids over 42 tall. He did incredibly well only bumping into a rail once (as seen at the end of the video) and even that was only because he was trying to stop to talk to mom who is out of frame to the right.
The really unbelievable thing is that for much of the time he was even taking a correct racing line apexing the corners and everything lmao! I would say it was a fluke but he did this over and over and over again for 10 minutes straight.
I know there are other 5 year olds out there that can do this and more but we have never given him any direction other than that I guess he was really paying attention closely when he was riding with mom and dad in the double seat carts ;)

When it comes to fun, families have known for years that there’s no place like Wisconsin Dells. After all, there’s a reason they call it “The Waterpark Capital of the World!®”. But now more than ever, Wisconsin Dells is getting a reputation as THE place for sports. With sports facilities designed for all major sports, over 8,000 hotel rooms, and the largest concentration of waterparks in the world, The Dells is ready to host more than just great tournaments and events – we’re ready to host an unforgettable experience.
The Dells is a great place to satisfy your need for speed. Rev up the fun at one of the area’s many go-kart tracks, like ADare Go Carts and Big Chief’s Go Karts, or challenge your driving skills on the eight curve hugging go kart tracks at Mount Olympus Water and Theme Parks. Believe it or not, you can also do your go-kart driving indoors at Knuckleheads Bowling & Indoor Amusement Park or the Kalahari Indoor Theme Park.
Keep your adrenaline pumping as you fly down the Hellcat Coaster at Timber Falls Adventure Park, featuring the second steepest drop in North America! Or try one of the six hair-raising roller coasters at Mount Olympus Water and Theme Parks, including Hades, with the world’s longest underground tunnel.
Want the adventure of a ride, but also a chance to view the beauty the Dells is famous for? Take a jet boat tour where you can see the Wisconsin River at top speed. Several companies provide high-speed, action tours complete with power-slides and spinouts. And Lost Voyage will have you embarking on an after-dark expedition up the Wisconsin River to solve a haunting mystery.
Wilderness Canyon Zip Line Canopy Tour has five lines suspended between six towers, with the last run 900 feet in length and propelling riders up to 30 miles per hour. There’s also Vertical Illusions, which will propel you down 15 consecutive tree to tree zip lines running almost a mile long. And you won’t want to miss Bigfoot Zipline Tours, comprised of six lines strung across 30 acres of stunning scenery and soaring over gorgeous expanses of water.
A great way to relax after a day at the waterparks is to take in one of the area’s entertaining live shows. The famous Tommy Bartlett Show is a must. It’s been entertaining families – rain or shine – for 60 years with its daredevil skiers, death-defying acrobats and hilarious stage acts.
Another favorite is the 90-minute family-friendly magic extravaganza staged by master illusionist Rick Wilcox and his wife Suzan. Great for all ages, the Rick Wilcox Magic Theater is a fast-paced and funny show that will amaze even the most skeptical viewers.
Bringing more magic to the Dells is Jeremy Allen’s Grand Illusions. From his beautiful white Siberian tigers to his levitation and disappearing illusions, Jeremy Allen is an exciting Dells entertainer. Other entertainment options include live music, a drive-in theater, comedy club, 4-D experience theaters and a live circus show.
Wisconsin Dells is home to the world’s largest fleet of WWII amphibious vehicles or “Ducks.” Travel by land and water on trails showcasing the natural beauty of Wisconsin Dells. And you’ll find the best views of stunning sandstone cliffs along the Wisconsin River on one of the multiple guided boat tours. Choose between an authentic Paddlewheel Riverboat, a Double-Decker tour boat, Jet Boats and of course, the classic Ducks. All are unique, exciting ways to experience scenic Wisconsin Dells.
So when it comes to exciting sports tournaments and events, the Dells has all the bases covered, and when it comes to family fun, no place compares to Wisconsin Dells.
