This video introduces the viewer to Le Chene French Cuisine, a restaurant in Agua Dulce, California adjacent to Santa Clarita, Ca, which is only about one hour by car from downtown Los Angeles. This absolutely delightful country restaurant which has been in business for 38 years is a top quality operation. Vintner Robert Reyes of Reyes Winery
Robert Reyes envisioned owning a simple vineyard to produce small amounts of ultra premium wines for family and friends. However that vision went from hobby to a full fledged business when he purchased the beautiful 16-acre property in the Sierra Pelona Valley Appellation, in the small town of Agua Dulce. With an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship, Reyes Winery is now producing award-winning wines at affordable prices. Aguadulce - Plan 60 seconds Discover - City of Aguadulce.
plan60segundos.com
Aguadulce is located in the countryside of Seville on foot of the Sierra Sur along the A-92, between the towns of Osuna and Estepa. Ranked land descending from the Sierras de Estepa and mares, east of the province.
The town has a plain, almost horizontal ideal for fertile crops.
The Mediterranean climate is warm summers semicontinental, exceeding 28 º average and mild winters.
The rainfall scanty and dry summers.
The first signs of settlement in the area of Aguadulce, dating from the Bronze Age, by remains found in the Cerro Real, heel axes.
Iberians also settled on land in Aguadulce, but with special features tartésico origin, calling Turdetania the area where the people-the turdetanos-settled, and occupying the south-eastern part of Andalusia, we place the Marucca turdetana by agricultural area near Aguadulce, located in what is now known as Barra farmhouses, Door, The Thrush, The Hindu, The Policewoman, Corito and Marche.
In the Dehesa area, should also be placed pre-Roman settlements that indicate some findings, such as a bull's head in stone, whose almond eyes show Iberian origin.
This head is still preserved inside the Marqués and center pipe is used as a source.
In Roman times there was a settlement called Ipora. Not sure whether Ipora was
core population lead to substantial Roman. The truth is that their territory extended as far as we know, but we think for the remains found which extended from the Cortijo El Marqués, to the Cortijo Los Naranjos. These remains were always scattered, which could correspond to the hamlets of large farms
agricultural imperial times, somewhat ancestor of our current farms.
There are many Roman finds found in this extension, but the most significant were discovered next to Gilena, a large Roman villa farm or dependent manor, slaves pavilions, warehouses, stables, barns, etc..
Some relevant findings have been a head of the goddess Minerva (Archaeological Museum of Madrid), equipped with helmet and carved in white marble, and a head of the wine god Bacchus.
After the socioeconomic crisis of the Roman Empire and the disappearance of Ipora, Aguadulce was only a small group of houses along the creek and maintained by orchards, it was in times of Visigoths and during Arab rule. During the Arab conquest, it was called Al-wad-ul which means Rio Bueno.
Aguadulce remained a modest village, when King Fernando III The Saint took Steppe in 1240 and drove the Arabs in the region, which would not until 1447 that the leader Osmin Aben paced her, repeating the run in 1462 that forced the villagers to take refuge behind the walls of Osuna and Estepa.
Aguadulce Estepa bound her story shortly after the Christian conquest, shortly after the conquest, the territory is ceded to defend the border to the military order of Santiago. It would be in 1559, which became the state of the coronary Steppe after centuries in the hands of the Order of Santiago, when Queen Juana of Portugal on behalf of his brother, King Philip II, sold the territory to Adam-Noble Centurion asentista Genoese-constituting the Marquis of Estepa.
Originally Huertas had Aguadulce Mills, found scattered in the term, this aspect would keep him from the beginning, until the seventeenth century, and as part of the Marquis of Estepa began to establish itself as the urban core. The first group of houses developed along the seventeenth century, leading to the formation of the Rue Grande, from the Church to the Market Alley, on the margins of the garden grounds.
Aguadulce In the eighteenth century would have lived 33 houses and 46 families, already counting Church and City Hall. It's mid-nineteenth century when it became independent of the Marquis Aguadulce, after abolished the feudal system.
Then experienced a large population growth, running out to form the current structure of the people, the formation of three parallel streets, always known as Big Street, Small Street and Enmedio.
It consists of famous landmarks such as the parish church of St. Bartholomew the Apostle, stately home, Pepe Haro House, Casino of farmers, stone bridge, Town Hall Square Garden Dolores Huertas Interpretation Center.

California wildfire: An apocalyptic scene is emerging in Southern California
California’s biggest utility, Pacific Gas & Electric, on Friday admitted its electrical equipment may have ignited the ruinous wildfire spreading over the northern state’s wine country, despite blackouts imposed across the region to prevent blazes.
The disclosure came as firefighters simultaneously battled flames in both northern and southern California: the fire amid Sonoma County’s vineyards, called the Kincade Fire and a wind-whipped blaze that destroyed homes near Los Angeles, in Tick Canyon in the Santa Clarita valley, labeled the Tick Fire.
The fire near the northern California town of Geyserville has burned at least 49 buildings and 34 square miles and prompted evacuation orders for some 2,000 people, the Associated Press writes.
It was driven by the strong winds that had prompted Pacific Gas & Electric to impose sweeping blackouts affecting a half-million people in Northern and Central California. Power was restored to most people by Thursday evening, PG&E said.
PG&E resorted to shut-offs after fallen power lines and other electrical equipment were blamed for several blazes in recent years that killed scores of people, burned thousands of homes and ran up billions of dollars in claims that drove the utility into bankruptcy.
PG&E CEO Bill Johnson said it was too soon to know if the faulty equipment sparked the fire.
He said the tower had been inspected four times in the past two years and appeared to have been in excellent condition.
Investors were leery, though, and PG&E stock fell more than 20 percent during the day.
In shutting off the electricity, PG&E cut power to the distribution lines that supply homes, but not to its long-distance transmission lines.
High winds in northern California had died down on Friday morning they are expected to pick up over the weekend, with gusts of 40 to 60 mph in many places. PG&E warned it may black out an even larger region.
PG&E chief meteorologist Scott Strenfel said Northern California could be in for the strongest offshore winds in years.
