Itasca State Park, Aiton Heights Fire Tower
A very windy day made the climb up to the top of the tower a bit scary. You could see the tower sway from side to side as we waited our turn to climb the stairs.

VISITING ITASCA STATE PARK, MN! (Vacation Vlog #2)
2nd vacation vlog which was taken today while on family vacation. This vlog includes visiting Itasca State Park- also seeing the Mississippi River headwaters (Where the river starts and actually flows about 60-80 miles north until it flows south towards the Gulf of Mexico!). We went on a wilderness drive and saw the biggest White Pine tree I'm the park and it was huge; and over 300 years old!! At the end we went and saw one of the fire towers up here in northern MN. We hiked a mile to see the Aiton Heights Fire Tower, and you could climb it! I only made it about 4 platforms up so about 40 feet probably. I thought I could do it but my fear of heights made me nervous. Thanks for watching this vlog, enjoy~

Itasca State Park Tower
I took a short 10 mile drive from our Bear Paw Resort to Itasca State Park to see the fall colors at their peak. The Park was so peaceful and quiet and I had the fire tower all to myself for this breathtaking view. Hope you enjoy :)
