Waikiki Post Office to Ala Moana Center 4K60 10/22/2019. We begin our walk at the Waikiki Post Office. We head out on to Saratoga Road and walk up a bit until we get to Kalakaua Ave and go left and continue walking on Kalakaua Ave. We cross the street at Ala Moana Blvd and turn left and continue down Ala Moana Blvd until we go over the bridge and cross the street at Atkinson Drive. We continue down Ala Moana Blvd until we get to the driveway that says Ala Moana Hawaii's Center, walk across the turn in street and go pass the Pink Line trolley pick up area and go right in to Ala Moana Center. We end out walk in front of the Makai Food Court at the Ala Moana Center! Enjoy!

Last day in Hawaii - Ala Moana Center and Aloha Tower
Final day in Honolulu, HI. Got to explore the Ala Moana Center and tried out Poke & Box. Then we went up to the top of the Aloha Tower and overlooked the breathtaking view. We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and concluded our trip at the Waikiki beach to watch the sunset.

Shirokiya Japan Village Walk at Ala Moana Center 12/24/2018. Come walk with us through the new Shirokiya food court called Shirokiya Japan Village Walk. They say its like old Kyoto with many different Japanese food shops. There is also a beer garden, wall of artworks, a merchandise area with toys, stationary, snacks, accessories and more. I found JOLLIBEE IN HAWAII inside Moana's mall (ALA MOANA)
There's a JOLLIBEE IN HAWAII and guess what? Everything is BIG like BIG Chicken, BIG RICE, BIG Drink, and BIIIG GRAVY. Oh, well Hawaii is US State so expect that everything is BIG LOL.
If you're going to ala moana mall I will recommend the FREE hawaiian show inside ala moana they have sits down stairs also they have sits upstairs, BUT there's a specific time so you should check before you go because you might wait there forever, or worst you're waiting for nothing.
When I arrived in honolulu, I decided to go to ala moana mall first since my hotel is near by, after that I check in and of course I cant wait to see WAIKII BEACH ONE OF THE FAMOUS BEACH IN THE WORLD so I go straight to the beach and relax...
LIFE IS SOOOOOOOO GOOD in HAWAII.

Ala Moana Center, commonly known simply as Ala Moana, is the largest shopping mall in Hawaii. It is also the seventh largest shopping mall in the United States, the largest open-air shopping center in the world, and the largest mall owned by General Growth Properties. Ala Moana is consistently ranked among the top ten most successful malls in the United States and, in 2009, was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as America's second most profitable, behind The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Located at 1450 Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu, Ala Moana Center is part of the commercial, retail, and residential district of Ala Moana, south of Makiki, east of Kakaʻako, west of Waikīkī and adjacent to Ala Moana Beach Park. It will be the end-station of the future Honolulu Metro.
When it opened in 1959, Ala Moana Center became the largest shopping mall in the United States. General Growth Properties of Chicago currently owns and operates Ala Moana Center. Although later retail developments across the nation have overshadowed it over the years, General Growth Properties markets and lists Ala Moana Center as the world’s largest open-air mall with a total retail space of 2,270,186 square feet. Its original tenants included Sears, Roebuck and Company, F. W. Woolworth Company, Foodland, Longs Drugs, and Shirokiya, among other local shops. Ala Moana Center's second-phase expansion included the 1961 addition of the Ala Moana Office Building (including La Ronde, the first revolving restaurant in the United States), the 1966 addition of JCPenney and Liberty House in a new Diamond Head wing. In 1982, Ala Moana Center was purchased by a partnership of Japanese corporation, Daiei, and an insurance company. In 1995, Daiei became the sole owner. Once a management vendor for Daiei, General Growth Properties purchased Ala Moana Center in 1999.
Costing US$25 million in 1959, Ala Moana Center had eighty-seven stores and four thousand parking spaces. Ala Moana Center was remodeled extensively in various phases. New designs reflected modern Hawaiian architectural principles, emphasizing the importance of the symbolism of various natural phenomena found in Hawaiʻi. Asian Pacific Rim motifs have been adopted reflecting the large Asian population of residents in Hawaiʻi. For decades, a centerpiece of Ala Moana Center was its koi ponds. In the Japanese culture, koi represents happiness and tranquility. Despite these enhancements, the design of the Center has been criticized for its over-built appearance and hodge-podge architecture, the result of years of modifications and expansions under different owners. Still, Ala Moana Center architecture and layouts inspired owners General Growth Properties, in 2004, to invest over US$1 billion in remodeling various other shopping centers across Canada and the United States, using Ala Moana Center as a template. As of 2018, Ala Moana is valued at nearly $6 billion and is the largest outdoor mall in the world.

Keeaumoku Street from Ala Moana Center 6/14/2019. We walk up and down Keeaumoku Street. We begin our walk at the Ala Moana Center by Barnes and Noble and make our way out of the center to Keeaumoku Street. Lot's of food places, small stores, Korean supermarket, a some clubs, Walgreens and we check out Hawaiian Sweet Potato Factory. Our walk ends back at Ala Moana Center. Enjoy!

Ala Moana Center Holiday Shopping
Ala Moana Center Holiday Shopping 12/22/2019. We are at Ala Moana Center to do some Christmas present shopping. We begin our walk at The Lanai on L2 we head out by Macy's and walk down the middle of the mall. We go walk to Centerstage area and take the escalator to L3 and walk to Go! Toys Calendars store. We do some shopping there and head out towards the Nordstrom side of the mall and when we get to Bloomingdales take the escalator down to L2 and then take the near by escalator down to L1 and head on to Shirokiya Japan Village Walk to do a little more shopping. We leave Shirokiya Japan Village Walk and go back take the escalator back to L2. We head for Longs Drugs (CVS) and pick up a few more things. After Longs Drug we head towards Centerstage and take the escalator to L1. We head for Barnes and Noble to finish up our shopping for the day. After we to up stairs to L2 in to The Lanai and order food from HiTea Cafe. We end our video walking up the stair to L3 and to the parking lot. Enjoy!

Wives love to shop so we went to one of the largest open air malls in America right in Hawaii. Its called Ala Moana Shopping Center right next to Waikiki beach.
If you are ever in Hawaii and you have a wife who likes to go to the mall...this one is pretty impressive.

Moiliili to Ala Moana Center Driving Oahu Hawaii
Moiliili to Ala Moana Center Driving Oahu Hawaii 11/7/2019. We begin our driving tour from Mōiliʻili to Ala Moana Center on Isenberg Street next to Honolulu Stadium State Park. We make a right turn on to S King Street and see Mōiliʻili Neighborhood Park across the street. We make our way down S King Street pass Longs Drugs and Down to Earth and see the big Torii on our left. This Torii is a half size replica of the one at Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima Japan and was gifted to Honolulu by Hiroshima as an offering of friendship. We continue by making a U-turn on from S King Street on to S Beretania Street and pass by Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii (JCCH), Anna ʻOBriens and Teddy's Bigger Burger. Further down S Beretania Street we pass by the old Foodland location on the right that is now closed (the nearest Foodland from this location is at Market City or Ala Moana Center). We turn left on to Ke'eaumoku Street and as we make our way to Ala Moana Center which is at the end of this street we pass by HMSA on the right, all the Korean Restaurants and 88 Palpal Supermarket, Sorabol, Likelike Drive Inn on the left, Walmart and Sam's Club on the right and Ross Dress for Less on the left. We also see Walgreens and Target on the left as we get to the intersection of Kapiʻolani Blvd and Keʻeaumoku Street. We finally make our way up the ramp to L2 of Ala Moana Center and end our drive here looking for parking. Enjoy!

In 2009, Hawaii Potters' Guild brought the Empty Bowl Project to Hawaii.
Empty Bowl Project is an international grass roots effort to fight hunger started in Michigan in the 1990's. Local artist groups make bowls and solicit donated soup and bread from neighborhood restaurants to support a designated local food service organization.
For a small contribution, you can enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread, and take home a handmade bowl as a reminder there are always Empty Bowls in the world.

5,000 Bowls Ready to Go
Honolulu, HI (March 7, 2013)—The Third Annual Empty Bowl Hawaii is set for Friday, April 26, 2013, 6-8 p.m. Previously held on cordoned-off Pauahi Street in Chinatown, this year's event will be held at Ala Moana Center, Makai Parking Deck (corner of Ala Moana Boulevard and Piikoi Street). Empty Bowl Hawaii is presented by the Hawaii Potters' Guild and is a benefit for Hawai'i Meals on Wheels.
The Hawaii Potters' Guild, along with artisans from Ala Wai Arts and Craft, Hickam Air Force Base, Honolulu Museum of Art at Linekona, Iolani Potters, Leeward Community College, Makua Alii Potters, Schofield Barracks Arts and Crafts, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Windward Community College, and high schools students from Iolani School Kalani High School, Kamehameha Schools, La Pietra School for Girls, Mid-Pacific Institute, Punahou School and Sacred Hearts Academy have created over 5,000 one-of-a-kind ceramic bowls for the event.
The ceramic bowls will be sold along with a serving of soup donated by local chefs from 21 popular restaurants, including: Big City Diner, Café Kaila, Café Laufer, Great Life Cuisine, Hula Grill, JJ Bistro & French Pastry, Le Bistro, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus, Murphy's Bar & Grill, Roy's Restaurants, Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Side Street Inn, Stage Restaurant, Tango, The Pineapple Room, 3660 on the Rise, Tiki's Grill & Bar, Town, 12th Avenue Grill, Whole Foods Kahala and Whole Foods Kailua.
Advance reservation sponsorships and group sales (10 or more) are available through March 15, with forms available at emptybowlhawaii.org. Sponsor and group ticket holders can enter the event before general admission ticket holders at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively.
General admission tickets ($20) will go on sale at emptybowlhawaii.Eventbrite.com starting March 16, and will be available at the event for $25.
The Empty Bowl Project started in Michigan in the 1990s and has grown in the United States and internationally with at least a dozen countries working to fight hunger.

Ala Moana Beach Park is a free public park on the island of Oahu, U.S. state of Hawaii, located between Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. This 100-acre (0.40 km2) park has a wide gold-sand beach that is over a half-mile (800 m) long. It is man-made and was created by the owner of the Dillingham Dredging Company, who was looking for a place to dispose of his dredged earth. So in the 1950s, sand was dumped at this park, which created the beach.
The water is almost always calm because the beach is protected by an outer reef. This makes it a good spot for long-distance swimmers and small children. There is a 25-foot-deep (7.6 m) swimming channel and a former boat channel that was dredged out of the reef.
Ala Moana's ocean bottom drops quickly, so novice swimmers should use caution. Big grassy areas, banyans and palm trees make the park a good place to picnic, barbecue, play all kinds of ball games or go running. There are lifeguards, showers, restrooms, phones, tennis courts, picnic tables, food concessions and a music pavilion. Ala Moana Beach Park is a favorite among Honolulu residents. It is right next to Magic Island where many cultural events are held.
Like almost all of Honolulu's city parks, Ala Moana Beach Park had many homeless people during the day and night, until the city started closing the park for the night in 2006.[1][2] Fodors travel guide rated it a high crime area at night after dark partly on this basis.[3]
