While in Belize in 2016, I had to check out one of the ancient Mayan Ruins sites, so we added a tour of Altun Ha to our cave tubing excursion. Totally worth seeing, only about 45 minutes outside of Belize City by car.

Lamanai Ruins & River Boat Tour Belize City, Belize (Carnival Breeze)
Join us as we explore the Lamanai Ruins & take a River Boat Tour in Belize City, Belize
The River Wallace-Belize (Part1)
Belize River Wallace 2D
The Belize River Wallace and Altun Ha Mayan Ruins excursion tour from Royal Caribbean Cruiselines. This River tour was followed by a busride to the Mayan Ruins and then a busride back to Belize City.
The River tour began with a water taxi service from the Ship anchored in the Belize Bay and then we boarded a small tightly packed tour boat. The first part was pretty rough and wet as we crossed the Bay and then calmed down as we entered the mouth of the Belize River.
We saw many Crocodiles, Monkeys and iguanas along the way.
The tour guides were very well organized with lots of facts about Belize, the river life, and the various wildlife along the way. I felt the tour was well worth the price and highly recommend it when visiting Belize.
