after staying a few nights in Positano we were sad to leave but excited to stay in Sorrento. From sorrento we did day trips to Amalfi, Isle Of CAPRI and Positano.
We loved Positano so much, we went back there on our way home from Amalfi and it was awesome cause we found a beautiful bar while walking to the beach which had one of the BEST VIEWS (well everywhere along Amalfi coast was gorgeous!)

A Day off with Bluestar Positano - Amalfi coast boat trip
As you can see from my last video I've been helping out occasionally with the boat company Bluestar Positano. Yesterday they had an empty boat so once all the day trip boats were loaded they decided to make the most of it and have a day off!
We sailed along the coast towards Amalfi and stopped for lunch and some beach time at Da Teresa restaurant at Santa Croce beach.

Cruising the Amalfi Coast
We took a boat trip from Sorrento and cruised along the Amalfi Coastline. Passing the island of Capri we then stopped at Positano. After a couple of hours walking round the town we then continued along the coast to Amalfi. Again we stopped here for a couple of hours before returning to Sorrento.

Hiring a boat on the Amalfi Coast
Carlo and I both had a day off work, Skye was back from boarding school with her friend Blue so after a morning at home we decided to rent a small boat and head towards Amalfi for a day out on the sea.

We took an amazing boat tour of the Amalfi Coast from La Praia Beach! We saw Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano, and Positano all in one tour!
We did a honeymoon photoshoot, swam in caves, took a grotto tour, and a saw a pirate ship! (sort of)

Amalfi Coast with Kids! Jelly fish scare, boat ride to Positano, swimming and lots of stairs!
Episode 7: We LOVED our time on the Amalfi Coast and it was so kid friendly and conducive to relaxing and just beautiful! We stayed in the little town of Minori, right in-between Salerno and Positano. And we highly recommend Minori to any one wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast, but wanting something a little less commercialized and touristy that some of the bigger town around there.It was an amazing several days and tons of fun! Mason did awesome swimming in the ocean and Ethan loved playing with the rocks at the beach. Win/win for Mom and Dad. We will definitely be back!

A boat trip is the perfect way to discover the beauty of the Amalfi Coast in one day, leaving from Positano we will sail trough Praiano, Marina di Praia, the famous Fiordo di Furore patrimony of the UNESCO and the beautiful Emerald Grotto. The cruise follow to Amalfi the glorius Sea republic, Marmorada waterfall and the magnificent Pandora’s Grotto. Video of the morning ferry ride from Amalfi to Positano on the Italian Amalfi Coast in South Italy, on a cool, cloudy, windy Spring day in May.
Departing from Amalfi port, the journey was quite varied because of the weather which meant we had both pretty sunny moments as well as choppy boat rocking waves which lead to super-minor sea sickness / motion sickness, and a mild soaking from the ocean waves & sea spray. It was an interesting boat ride!
In this video you will see the coastal views, the lush green mountains, some caves, a fort, and the beautiful turquoise color of the sea water as we approached the dramatic village/ little town of Positano and docked in its harbor.
I incorporated some footage from the journey from Positano to Amalfi on the ferry back to Amalfi in the late afternoon so if you see some sudden changes in the light from clip to clip, changing from bright morning light to a golden afternoon light - that would be why!
