The (Haunted?) Amargosa Hotel, Death Valley Junction, California. United States.
I have stayed in some strange places in my time but this hotel is something else.
I arrived to check in and immediately left to go to Dante's Peak to see the sunset over Death Valley. It was (very) dark by the time I returned and I had a chance to explore. If any film director needs a creepy hotel setting then this is it. On the other hand I wouldn't give the place a bad rating and would recommend it as it had more character then all the branded hotels I stayed at during my three week visit to the USA in 2018.

Way off the beaten path, North of the town of Baker, out in the Mojave desert, close to Death Valley, is the town of Death Valley Junction, and the Amargosa Hotel!

Built by the Pacific Coast Borax Co. between 1923 - 1925, this company town housed a small store, a 23 room hotel, dining hall, and recreation hall for the companies workers. It was supplied by the Tonopah & Tidewater Railroad until 1942. From 1948 until 1967 the town was in decline, until Marta Becket found it because of a flat tire. She stayed the rest of her life and danced at the opera house she restored and loved.

Six Team Investigation at Amargosa Opera House - Death Valley Junction, CA
PR of Utah, OGS, AGS, TGS, The Boo Crew and Glendale Paranormal Chasers will be investigating the historic Amargosa Opera House & Hotel in Death Valley Junction, CA the night of November 3rd. Death Valley Junction is a small town near the Nevada/California border and has a population about 20. The Opera House was featured on and investigated by Zak Bagans and his crew from the popular television series, Ghost Adventures.
The theater was part of a company town designed by architect Alexander Hamilton McCulloch and constructed in 1923--25 by the Pacific Coast Borax Company. The U-shaped complex of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture style adobe buildings included company offices, employees' headquarters, a dormitory and a 23-room hotel with a dining room, lobby and store. At the northeast end of the complex was a recreation hall used as a community center for dances, church services, movies, funerals and town meetings.

????HAUNTED Amargosa Opera house (DEATH VALLEY)
Filmed 6/23/16. In the town that lays on the border of Nevada, and California at Death Valley Junction. Is the 100 year old Amargosa Opera House. From 1920 to 1950 it served as a mining camp, hospital, morgue, and movie theater. Many killings, and suicides happened here at Amargosa Opera House. The tv series Ghost Adventures, and the Dead Files did investigations here. Its so haunted by evil spirits that they can't keep employees to stay longer then a couple months. In the late 50's a Broadway singer on vacation broke down in front of the abandoned building. While her car was getting repaired she kept looking, and asking about the building. She baught the town, and at 92 years old shes still living at the hotel. She painted the walls, and ceiling of the movie theater to look like an audience. It took her two years of painting everyday to finish. She then put on plays for the local girls at the nearby brothels for over 40 years. Theres a section of the hotel named scary hollow that is locked off because of the evil that lives in there. I got a full tour of the place except for scary hollow because my son was with me. Under a blistering Death Valley sun, Marta Becket resurrected the Amargosa Opera House with nothing but a paint brush and fierce devotion to her art. Marta lived in Death Valley until she was 92 years old, and though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the art and spirit of the Opera House. It’s an amazing tribute to her unique vision and the unstoppable drive to chase a dream.

GHOST CAUGHT ON TAPE at AMARGOSA HOTEL! [2016] Amargosa Opera House
I stayed at the Amargosa Hotel in Death Valley Junction, and caught a real apparition on film. The shadow figure reaches from a bed where two of my friends are sleeping, and hits the wall. You can clearly see the arm extend and make contact with the wall at the same time a noise is heard. I was in the other bed in this room, wide awake, and heard the noise. Upon reviewing the tape, I noticed the movement at the exact moment of the noise, and was able to add filters to distinguish the form. Normally I like to joke around, but this is 100% REAL. Watch the video and make your own assumption.
Also, one thing to consider when watching this video, my friend Martin was asleep and could very easily have tapped his arm on the wall in his sleep. If you watch the video, you will notice that neither Martin's head nor the sheets covering him move at all. Watch it over and over if you have to, but I promise this is 100% un-tampered footage of a real apparition.
