What is the best Muay Thai gym in Thailand?
What Muay Thai camp should I train at in Thailand?
These are the most common questions I get when it comes to traveling, training and fighting in Thailand. Since it's such a common question -- and since it's not an easy answer -- I decided to make this video breaking down the 5 key factors to consider when choosing which gym to train at in Thailand.
=======================================
5 Key Factors When Choosing A Muay Thai Gym In Thailand
#1. The Location ????
Want hardcore training in the mecca of Muay Thai? Try Bangkok.
Enjoy the beaches and some down time? Phuket might be best.
Like a blend of city and mountains? Then try Chiang Mai!
There are also other places to try like Pattaya, Isaan, Koh Samui, Pai, Hua Hin and others.
#2. The Trainers ????
You travel all the way to Thailand to get the best training possible. And to get the best training possible, you need the best TRAINERS!

How To Recognize A Good (Or Bad) Muay Thai Coach
#3. Training Partners ????
Iron sharpens iron. You need to be surrounded by motivated, passionate individuals if you want to get the most out of your training.
#4. The Atmosphere ????
Every gym has a different vibe to it. Some are super intense and serious, others are more laid back and relaxed. Understanding your goals and what you need to improve and enjoy your experience in Thailand is important to know when considering which gym to choose.
#5. The Facilities ????
Do you want a nice looking gym that has state-of-the-art facilities? Or would you appreciate the bare necessities and the rugged feel to some more old school gyms?
Does the gym offer other classes like MMA, yoga or strength and conditioning? Do they have on-site accommodation, a pool, a restaurant and other services? These are all things to consider!
=======================================
????????How To Book Your Muay Thai Training Experience ????????
There are a few different options to booking your Muay Thai experience in Thailand:
Uptrek ( -- This travel company offers a huge category of different training camp experiences in Thailand, plus they are very convenient, easy-to-use and customer friendly.

Authentic Muay Thai Training Camp in Thailand: Sitjaopho Gym | The Beautiful Mind of a Champion
High level Muay Thai champions - you’ve seen their brutalizing work in the ring, in highlight reels, and on Instagram. Do you wonder what made them who they are, and what they are like in person?
This documentary brings us to Sitjaopho Gym, a family-run gym in the countryside of Hua Hin owned by the decorated Sitjaopho twins, once stadium champions in Thailand.
Hua Hin doesn’t have a big stadium, and is not particularly known for producing fighters. But this pair of fighter-twins with an incredibly aesthetic style went on to claim belts from Lumpinee stadium. One half of the twins Phet-tho now teaches at the gym, while his brother Phet-eak lives in Sweden.
This feature showcases the training style, fighting philosophy, and guiding principles of the gym. Humble, unassuming, and thoughtful, it is an insightful and refreshing look of an ex-fighter who’d spent half his life fighting professionally.
This is a guest contribution by Angie, a Muay Thai student and (occasional) fighter based in SG. If you like this documentary style of visual and text observations of life in Muay Thai, give her a follow on IG @angiewon9 for similar content.

David Breed training at Por Promin with Kru Kin, Hua Hin, Thailand - Nov 2018
Clips from my studios visit to the Por Promin Muay Thai camp in Hua Hin, in November 2018, with myself working on the pads with Ajarn Kin, one of Thailand’s gems. He was awarded 2nd place at a recent awards to find the countries best padholder and coach by the sports authority of Thailand, considering the standard over there, that says a heck of lot. Awesome coach, even nicer person. I’d highly recommend a visit to Por Promin, both Kru Kin and Miriam are lovely and made my whole team very welcome.
Hope you enjoy the footage, thanks Kru Kin ????????????????
