BendPak Gets History Lesson at the Automobile Driving Museum
BendPak Gets History Lesson at Automobile Driving Museum (ADM): Auto enthusiasts around the world probably agree that preserving antique cars and trucks is an essential part of our cultural heritage. To do their part, the team at ADM has dedicated itself to the repair and maintenance of vehicles dating back to 1886. With over 140 vehicles in their collection, ADM is keeping that history alive and well.
They also have about 20 BendPak car lifts, which includes two-post lifts and four-post lifts. This equipment is used for storage and maintenance of the museum pieces, but ADM is also a fully functioning instructional bay. How many places have you seen with the ability to teach vehicle maintenance on antiques and classics? Anyone who takes part in these classes is part of the effort to keep knowledge of these cars alive. Watch this video to see why ADM is so essential to the automotive community.
To check out the Automobile Driving Museum and take a look at the fantastic work they do there please go to:

Frieze Projects at Frieze Los Angeles 2019
Join artists Lisa Anne Auerbach, Hannah Greely, Patrick Jackson, and Kori Newkirk as they discuss their site-specific installations for Frieze Projects at the inaugural edition of Frieze Los Angeles, held from February 15-17, 2019. For Frieze Projects, curated by Ali Subotnick, artists were asked to respond to the New York Street backlot of Paramount Pictures Studios, a simulacral environment in which visitors are seemingly in two cities at once: “New York City” within Los Angeles. Subotnick remarked: “Each artist has embraced the opportunity, and challenge, and the results are often magical and otherworldly, surreal and hyper-real, but never dull.”
Lisa Anne Auerbach (b. 1967, Ann Arbor, MI) lives in Los Angeles. Solo exhibitions of Auerbach’s work have been presented at Gavlak, Los Angeles (2014); The Ski Club, Milwaukee, WI (2014); Malmö Konsthall, Sweden (2012); Nottingham Contemporary, U.K. (2009); the University of Michigan Museum of Art, Ann Arbor, MI (2009); and the Aspen Art Museum (2008). Judy Chicago: Institutional Time: A Critique of Studio Art Education
Hot off the press in March 2014, Chicago's most recent book, Institutional Time: A Critique of Studio Art Education, is the focus of her lecture, in which she candidly reflects on her own teaching, and proposes ways that university studio art programs can be improved. Chicago's personal narrative in Institutional Time questions unexamined assumptions about studio art education in higher education. In eye-opening transparency of institutional practice and jargon-free discussion, she contextualizes feminist theory, art history, and politics based upon five decades of research and experience. Chicago initiates a discourse toward an equitable, rigorous, and just system of studio art education.
Keynote at Penn State, April 5, 2014, as part of the Judy Chicago Symposium: Planting a Feminist Art Education Archive
