One of the most well-known beach shacks in Goa, Curlies is a great place to wind down after a hard day of shopping. A convenient and short walk from the flea market at Anjuna, stop over at Curlies just before sunset to take in some spectacular sights and colours, order a few drinks, starters and sit back and relax. A great place to chat with friends or just hang out and have a hooka if that's what you like.

Anjuna Beach is famous for its Flea Market.More than three decade ago it was started. This market seats on Wednesday every week. There will be almost 300-400 shops in the market on Wednesday. The shops are owned by local people and also by the foreigners as well. They sell their exclusive products in very cheap price as well. The local people sell their handmade crafts and traditional dresses as well. There you can find gowns, Night dress, beach wear and many more things. Another attracting fact is local foods and fish. There you can find fresh fish from the sea as well. Many herbal products which is made from the material of the sea. Coral Soaps are very popular in those stalls. Nowadays things are far more mainstream and the merchandise comes from all over India: sculptures and jewellery courtesy of the Tibetan and Kashmiri traders; colourful Gujarati tribal women selling T-shirts; richly colourful saris, bags and bedspreads from Rajasthan; sacks of spices from Kerala; and the hard-to-miss tribal girls from Karnataka pleading passers-by to ‘come look in my shop.’ Weaving in among this syrupy blend of stalls are the remaining hippies, backpackers, weekenders from Mumbai, and bus- and taxi-loads of package tourists from Russia and Europe.Such purchasing power has inevitably pushed market prices up but with plenty of competition you can still find some good bargains if you know the right price. These days the market sprawls back from the beach to the entrance road in the paddy fields; the endless stalls can become repetitive after a while. For a rest from the shopping there are chai stalls and a couple of restaurant-bars with live music. Cafe Looda has a fabulous sunset beachfront location and live music from 5pm.You might still find Westerners trading goods and services (tattoos, piercings and the like) but it’s much more a souvenir market.The best time to visit is early (from 8am) or late afternoon (around 4pm till close just after sunset). The first market of the season is around mid-November, continuing till the end of April.

Zu ihren Füßen, von schütteren Palmwedeln kaum beschattet, breitet sich jeden Mittwoch der Hippieflohmarkt von Anjuna Beach aus.
Hippies sucht man hier allerdings vergebens. Stattdessen bittet ein höchstens zehn Jahre altes Mädchen immer wieder: Sir, please come to my shop! Der Shop, vom Bruder bewacht, besteht aus wenigen Habseligkeiten. Auf einem Tuch im Sand ausgebreitet liegen geflochtene Armbändchen, bunt bemalte, kleine Holzelefanten und Aschenbecher mit Abbildungen aus dem Kamasutra für die Touristen, die von Ausflugsbooten hierhergebracht werden. Ethno-Nippes für ein paar Rupien -- Pfennigbeträge --, wie er heute auf jedem alternativ angehauchten Festival zwischen Kiel und München zu finden ist.
Die professionelleren Händler bieten gefälschte Marken-T-Shirts für umgerechnet fünf Euro feil. Oder bunte Saris und Safran aus Kaschmir. Und natürlich CDs mit dem berühmten Goa-Trance. Wummernde Techno-Beats, in den 90er-Jahren fester Bestandteil ausufernder Partys. Raver aus der ganzen Welt kamen an die kilometerlangen Sandstrände des kleinsten indischen Bundesstaates, tanzten am Arabischen Meer die Vollmondnächte durch.

So MY FIRST SOLO TRIP TO GOA (Part-2) is all about Flea market Anjuna, which also known as Wedneday market. must check it out, you will get many things from cothes to accesories, shoes, bags, & also things like Healing stones, tea poweder, variety of swings, spices & many more.
flea market is right next to the Anjuna beach, its a day market, startes around 8am (on wednesday only) till sunset, the market is too big,so you need atleast 3-4 hours to explore.

We had to see this world famous Flea market in Anjuna, the sheer size of it is amazing! Every Wednesday, this manic flea market sells EVERYTHING, from spices to bongs, from flippies to Bacardi brezzers!
Anjuna known for its Hippie vibe since the 1960s, and huge trance scene! The beach is smothered in adrenaline junkies looking for the best water sports, and at night, the glow sticks and heavy trance will make your chicken tikka masala bounce all over your plate...literally!
We, to be honest, spent a lot of the time here....drunk, we let out hair down and boogie the nights away, and as were the older backpacker, spent the days in bed wondering when did we actually get so old!
If your ever in this end of the woods, seek out mango shade cafe, cheap, and superb!!!
