AN OLD distillery is being carefully restored near the Solway coast port of Annan in Scotland.
Businessman and academic Professor David Thomson talks about his plans and reveals how work is progressing.

Annan Riding of the Marches 2013
THERE was a large cavalcade at the 2013 Annan Riding of the Marches celebrations.
One of the most popular spectacles, the horses galloping across the Solway sands, took place earlier this year because of the tides.
The principals, Cornet Gary Williamson and Cornet's Lass Catherine Walker, were treated to warm sunshine as the cavalcade inspected the ancient Royal Burgh's boundaries.
There was a full programme of activities throughout the day culminating with massed pipe bands on the High Street in the evening.
