Thinking about traveling down to the Nicoya Peninsula into Montezuma, then check this video out, may help you get some perspective. In many ways Montezuma feels like the end of the line, but this charming little beach, is nestled on the eastern shore of Costa Ricas Nicoya Peninsula, down dusty roads that lead to ridges covered with tropical dry forest combined with contrasting green terraces etched out by rivers and tides. It is a coastline of whitish sand speckled with rocky peninsulas and protected by ancient cliffs formed some 80 million years ago. Unlike many other parts of Costa Rica, Montezuma has been largely untouched by commercial development and therefore is a beach lovers paradise.
Dramatically located at the bottom of a plateau overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Montezuma has an enticing quality that goes far beyond its spectacular setting. With a strong emphasis on an eco-conscience mindset while maintaining a laid back lifestyle, Montezuma has been a popular destination for hippies, new-agers, and eco-tourists. Not surprising since Montezuma has long been a haven for alternative thinkers. Without a doubt, this little cove town is among the best places for camping, relaxing and enjoying the wilderness.
Video: Around Montezuma with michael alan and DAngelo
Montezuma is known for providing very economical accommodations to its visitors. It also caters to the health conscience crowd as there are several health-food cafes throughout the town. Montezuma sustains a strong healthy bond between its culture and environment.
Just north of Montezuma, is a large pristine sandy white beach and if one continues north along the beach, you will eventually discover a spectacular waterfall protruding from the rainforest emptying into the ocean. The first couple of rocky bays north have strong currents, but Playa Grande is ideal for swimming. To the south are beaches with surf crashing against volcanic rock and just a short walk away, another waterfall with a pool for swimming. It seems almost anywhere in Montezuma small streams flow down from the hills, forming waterfalls and pools, ideal spots to escape the intense heat of the summer. Speaking of waterfalls, they are not to be missed, so make the hike. Many people do some cliff jumping off the waterfalls- we'll let you make your own decisions. The rivers and streams crisscross the wide beach, which extends eastward to the solitary and beautiful Cocal, Cocalito and Quizales Beaches, and westward to the Cabo Blanco Strict Nature Reserve. All these sites possess very special features and can be explored on foot, mainly at low tide.
Montezuma has a mix of bars and restaurants that cater to all your nightlife needs. Theres even a disco south of town if youre up for drinking and dancing the night away.
Dont wait to visit Montezuma. This area is still relatively unspoiled by the interests of major commercial developers, but as you can imagine, the ever-present pressure to develop the land is an on-going, never-ending battle and whos to say what the future may hold. The beachside community of Montezuma has a unique combination of culture and natural setting that should not be missed.

Three families own this land. Our guide, Graven (known as Gravy) was spectacular. We learned a lot, saw a lot, and had a great time. Still no monkeys to be seen anywhere... nunca monos!

Suspense: Mortmain / Quiet Desperation / Smiley
The program's heyday was in the early 1950s, when radio actor, producer and director Elliott Lewis took over (still during the Wilcox/Autolite run). Here the material reached new levels of sophistication. The writing was taut, and the casting, which had always been a strong point of the series (featuring such film stars as Orson Welles, Joseph Cotten, Henry Fonda, Humphrey Bogart, Judy Garland, Ronald Colman, Marlene Dietrich, Eve McVeagh, Lena Horne, and Cary Grant), took an unexpected turn when Lewis expanded the repertory to include many of radio's famous drama and comedy stars — often playing against type — such as Jack Benny. Jim and Marian Jordan of Fibber McGee and Molly were heard in the episode, Backseat Driver, which originally aired February 3, 1949.
The highest production values enhanced Suspense, and many of the shows retain their power to grip and entertain. At the time he took over Suspense, Lewis was familiar to radio fans for playing Frankie Remley, the wastrel guitar-playing sidekick to Phil Harris in The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show. On the May 10, 1951 Suspense, Lewis reversed the roles with Death on My Hands: A bandleader (Harris) is horrified when an autograph-seeking fan accidentally shoots herself and dies in his hotel room, and a vocalist (Faye) tries to help him as the townfolk call for vigilante justice against him.
With the rise of television and the departures of Lewis and Autolite, subsequent producers (Antony Ellis, William N. Robson and others) struggled to maintain the series despite shrinking budgets, the availability of fewer name actors, and listenership decline. To save money, the program frequently used scripts first broadcast by another noteworthy CBS anthology, Escape. In addition to these tales of exotic adventure, Suspense expanded its repertoire to include more science fiction and supernatural content. By the end of its run, the series was remaking scripts from the long-canceled program The Mysterious Traveler. A time travel tale like Robert Arthur's The Man Who Went Back to Save Lincoln or a thriller about a death ray-wielding mad scientist would alternate with more run-of-the-mill crime dramas.
Jumping The Broom
Sabrina Watson (Paula Patton, Precious) and Jason Taylor (Laz Alonso, Fast & Furious) are perfect for each other. Unfortunately, their families are a perfect recipe for disaster. Mrs. Watson (Angela Bassett, Green Lantern) has an upper-crust sensibility that matches her family's Martha Vineyard estate where Jason's straight-out-of-Brooklyn mom (Loretta Devine, Death at a Funeral) seems utterly out of place. When the families gather for Jason and Sabrina's wedding, it becomes clear that each side has its traditions... and its secrets. Jumping the Broom is a revealing and inspiring hysterical romantic comedy that hits close to home. © 2011 Stage 6 Films, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

The Adventures of Robin Hood

Co-starring Oscar-nominee Basil Rathbone (Romeo and Juliet), Oscar-winner Olivia De Havilland (Gone with the Wind, To Each His Own) and Oscar-nominee Claude Rains (Casablanca Mr. Smith Goes to Washington). Nominated for four Academy Awards (including Best Picture) and winner of three. The Godfather Part II
This brilliant companion piece to the original The Godfather continues the saga of two generations of successive power within the Corleone family. Coppola tells two stories in Part II: the roots and rise of a young Don Vito, played with uncanny ability by Robert De Niro, and the ascension of Michael (Al Pacino) as the new Don. Reassembling many of the talents who helped make The Godfather, Coppola has produced a movie of staggering magnitude and vision, and undeniably the best sequel ever made. Robert De Niro won an Oscar®, the film received six Academy Awards, including Best Picture of 1974.
The Accountant (2016)
Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
A Pride of Carrots - Venus Well-Served / The Oedipus Story / Roughing It
Oedipus (US pron.: /ˈɛdɨpəs/ or UK /ˈiːdɨpəs/; Ancient Greek: Οἰδίπους Oidípous meaning swollen foot) was a mythical Greek king of Thebes. A tragic hero in Greek mythology, Oedipus fulfilled a prophecy that said he would kill his father and marry his mother, and thereby brought disaster on his city and family. The story of Oedipus is the subject of Sophocles's tragedy Oedipus the King, which was followed by Oedipus at Colonus and then Antigone. Together, these plays make up Sophocles's three Theban plays. Oedipus represents two enduring themes of Greek myth and drama: the flawed nature of humanity and an individual's powerlessness against the course of destiny in a harsh universe.
Oedipus was born to King Laius and Queen Jocasta. In the most well-known version of the myth, Laius wished to thwart a prophecy saying that his child would grow up to murder his father and marry his mother. Thus, he fastened the infant's feet together with a large pin and left him to die on a mountainside. The baby was found on Kithairon by shepherds and raised by King Polybus and Queen Merope in the city of Corinth. Oedipus learned from the oracle at Delphi of the prophecy, but believing he was fated to murder Polybus and marry Merope he left Corinth. Heading to Thebes, Oedipus met an older man in a chariot coming the other way on a narrow road. The two quarreled over who should give way, which resulted in Oedipus killing the stranger and continuing on to Thebes. He found that the king of the city (Laius) had been recently killed and that the city was at the mercy of the Sphinx. Oedipus answered the monster's riddle correctly, defeating it and winning the throne of the dead king and the hand in marriage of the king's widow, Jocasta.
Oedipus and Jocasta had two sons (Eteocles and Polynices) and two daughters (Antigone and Ismene). In his search to figure out who killed Laius (and thus end a plague on Thebes), Oedipus discovered it was he who had killed the late king - his father. Jocasta also soon realized that she had married her own son and Laius's murderer, and she hanged herself. Oedipus seized a pin from her dress and blinded himself with it. Oedipus was driven into exile, accompanied by Antigone and Ismene. After years of wandering, he arrived in Athens, where he found refuge in a grove of trees called Colonus. By this time, warring factions in Thebes wished him to return to that city, believing that his body would bring it luck. However, Oedipus died at Colonus, and the presence of his grave there was said to bring good fortune to Athens.
The legend of Oedipus has been retold in many versions, and was used by Sigmund Freud as the namesake of the Oedipus complex.
