The Manchester Bee Glass Has Landed

Two icons combined. This limited edition black-striped glass, known as The Manchester Bee Glass, marks the 170th anniversary of the iconic Joseph Holt Brewery by putting the bee into your beer.

By combining two of our city's favourite icons - beer and the worker bee - we aim to celebrate our heritage with a collector's item that immortalises the great city of Manchester.

The Manchester Bee Glass is available from Tuesday 2nd July in 77 of Joseph Holt’s 127 pubs including three pubs in the city centre, the Ape and Apple, Crown and Anchor and Old Monkey, along with participating free trade outlets across the North West. Find a full list of Bee Glass stockists here -

To get a glass simply ask for a loyalty card in one of the selected pubs and receive a sticker every time you order a pint of Northern Hop. Once five pints have been marked off you will be given a Manchester Bee Glass for free.

This gig was the end product of a 13 week stand-up comedy course at the Wythenshawe Forum. A BIG Thanks goes to everyone involved with the course, especially Ashley Boroda and Seymour Mace, who ran the course for us.

Also, a big thanks to the people who came down and watched not only me, but all the other acts on the night, and (more importantly) thanks for laughing at us! Without you, the show would have been rather dull.

The Printworks launches northern World Cup Anthem 'Our Telly's Bigger Than Your Telly', to raise money for Forever Manchester
The moment we're all waiting for; Fifa World Cup 2014 starts on Thursday June 12th in Brazil and to celebrate The Printworks in Manchester has produced its very own northern World-Cup anthem, 'Our Telly's Bigger Than Your Telly' -- with a hilarious music video to coincide. All proceeds will go to local charity Forever Manchester.
'Our Telly's Bigger Than Your Telly' was produced and performed by Aniff Akinola aka Box Bottom, famed for co-writing songs such as the Top 20 hit; A Guy Called Gerald's classic house anthem 'Voodoo Ray', Urban Cookies' 'Key The Secret' and Backyard Dog's 'Baddest Ruffest'.
Box Bottom commented Manchester is home to two of the biggest clubs in the world, I live and breath Manny its music and attitude, and l wanted to do a song that reflected Manchester's love of football.
The video for 'Our Telly's Bigger Than Your Telly' has been rumoured to feature a number of high profile celebrities and will be filmed on 15th May at sites in Manchester; the track will also be available to pre-order from iTunes on 8th May.
Forever Manchester raises and distributes money to support local people and groups trying to make a positive change in the neighbourhoods across Greater Manchester.
Fred Booth, Centre Director at The Printworks added The song is a great way for the community to get behind something fun and exciting and to show support of our team and pride for our city. We really hope the track raises a lot for Forever Manchester a charity really close to our hearts, and who knows maybe even hit the Top Ten in the charts.
